You’re thinking on another level bro lol, I’d struggle to put all that together mid hand.
Although given the line it’s hard to find some reasonable bluffs he’s betting turn and jamming river.

interesting fold, is it that we can fold as a exploit here because villain doesnt have many bluffs? i mean, could villain be jamming with 1010 44, i guess 1010 3 betting pre flop ?, maybe he flatted 87s KQ combos. I think were at the top of our value range here to just pay, however i understand folding.

awesome call on the end with ak nick!

really annoying line from villain, great discipline fold

Whats your general way of handling limp raises? most of the time ive seen it is in live cash like 1/3 or 2/5 but its generally always for value, and i like never see limp raises as a bluff. can we isolate less wide if our opponents are doing it frequently with value?

May 9, 2024 | 1:09 a.m.

did you ask some of the coaches if they would do a review session of your hands?

May 7, 2024 | 2:03 p.m.

great explanation here last hand with hating the 2/3 bet

to do you prefer going something between 125% - 150% pot?
if we do decide to have 2 sizes, having like a small bet as well at some frequency like 1/3 pot size bet?

May 7, 2024 | 1:35 a.m.

reminds me of a spot i was in the other day, where i 3 bet J10 and ak actually flatted

villain played this hand awful actually, but if ep just 4 bets this i have to make a decision if im flatting or folding vs the 4 bet pre flop vs specific villain, because aks just flatted the 3 bet, you give the 3 better such a great price to 3 bet you, A) they just fold pre flop B) you flop a big hand C) you c bet and villain can fold when they dont hit

May 7, 2024 | 12:59 a.m.

hey tyler great video

Great explanation on the benefits of of these lower stakes playing very exploitatively vs super theoretically sound.

in these stakes, 25nl 50nl 100nl, i think its very important to have a good GTO theoretical base knowledge of the game, but understanding what your opponents are doing using the information you have on them to exploit there tendencies to maximize our EV, like you explained in this video. what ive tend to be doing, when im table selecting, ill trend more carefully vs players who i know are more decent vs players i know who are weaker rec fish.

also near the end 52:00 you talked about how we REALLY need to be 4 betting AKdd pre flop here, which i couldnt agree more,

at 100 bbs, actually i believe when you get 3 bet with AKo out of position gto wizard it actually just likes a pure shove lol, in that its easier to just play, pick up equity when our opponents fold and are in decent shape vs some opponents who are calling with aq or aj, 1010, jj, qq pre flop. However, i think just pure 4 betting ako and aks can generate value when we hit the flop as well.

Yes, day to day, what do you think a good goal is? Is it money? Time? Or hands played,

Sometimes, ahh yeah we had a great winning session yesterday I don’t have to play or don’t have to play as hard today, because yesterday was so successful,

Or omg I lost so much money yesterday I have to play ALL day today to try and win it all back lol,

For example let’s say okay I want to make $500 a day playing poker,
Should some days, will be break even, some days can be loss, some days I may reach that goal, some days I’ll go over the goal or some days I’ll win less than that goal.

Should we quit after playing for an hour if we reach that goal? Let’s say we play for 8 hours and we don’t reach our goal? Or say we get in 5 thousand hands in a day and we’ve lost numerous buy ins.

Or is it just focusing on all the things that lead to long term success, going to to the gym, eating healthy, and putting in a solid 8-12 hours a day of good poker win or loss?, if we feel like playing play, if we don’t feel like playing don’t?

May 5, 2024 | 8:19 p.m.

No no the 54 dd hand, another combo 109hh would have made the straight flush on the river I forgot about mentioning!

May 5, 2024 | 5:23 a.m.

makes sense! i wasnt suggesting to fold the k either in relation to which k is better to call with!

May 4, 2024 | 4:36 a.m.

how do we reach our goals without being results oriented, if the goal is based around the result

for example, lets say our goal is to grow our bankroll and move up the stakes right

although, during a downswing this can feel really tough, or almost impossible even,

stick to, playing good poker, improving in a specific node of the game, put in x amount of hours, instead of having the goal a $ amount.

It has to be rooted in the journey, coming to work everyday, enjoying the process all the way through.

Like i may not be where i want to be at the moment of my poker career, but if I look back at myself even 1 year ago, im a lot closer now than where i was then. imo

just takes consistency and dedication!

Another great video Chris!

really great breakdown here of this hand

you mentioned here for linus making this call, to call with the Kc more often assuming because k9 suited would raise more often than k9o

however isnt the kc a bad card to bluff catch with because its less chance Stephon would be bluffing here with say AX of clubs? And if we do decide to make this call were hoping Stephon has clubs?

May 4, 2024 | 1:09 a.m.

hey tyler great video again! love hearing your breakdown of these hands!

this flop action outside of anything i do in my games
high stakes 3 way bvb action,
small bet, davy jones re raise fine,
but the 3 bet on the flop from stephon just seems wacky haha i guess backdoor spades and straight draws. you mentioned its purely exploitative, think maybe theres a leveling war going on here as well.

thanks again!

May 4, 2024 | 12:36 a.m.

awesome!

i went to the wsop last year, but mainly just been studying and playing cash since! mix between online and live

May 4, 2024 | 12:01 a.m.

great video Steve! really great format fun to review run it twices hands!

sidenote, reading through the comments checked out your hendon mob, see that your from kitchener! i live in london so not too far, are you mainly playing cash nowadays or do you still play some tournaments now and then?

thanks again!

May 3, 2024 | 7:32 p.m.

pretty sick hand here, in a game i wouldnt be playing in, in a 4 bet pot with hands i wouldnt have lol sick call though

May 3, 2024 | 7:08 p.m.

hey nacho great video, fascinating trying to decipher these live cash game players thought process,

May 3, 2024 | 8:15 a.m.

58:00

ew what a gross turn card, i like raising the turn as well, then he just bombs it, rip

May 3, 2024 | 7:58 a.m.

really gross spot here for Garrett and a wicked raise by Robl here on the turn, Andrews actually got a ton of outs but has to feel hes behind, Garrett the old top pair top kicker has to be somewhat cautious with calling here as there are some scary rivers, interesting hand!

May 3, 2024 | 7:36 a.m.

some of my favourite players to watch play live! thanks for doing the hand breakdowns here very informative!!!

May 3, 2024 | 7:33 a.m.

its my favourite hand of the video! haha
now that i think deeper about the hand, you mentioned it in the video, hard to find that A7 shove here, little scary given the board

another hand i forgot to think of is 109hh, i guess could check back the turn and just bomb the river. Also has to 3 bet pre flop with it, shrug

May 3, 2024 | 7:26 a.m.

yes, because nothing is totally absolute!

yes, when youre just clicking bet or checking without thinking about those other things youre like neglecting that whole other part of the game tree that should be helping you with your decisions throughout the hand

Comment | TRUEPOWER commented on How I Poker in 2024

Ahh yeah, I mostly play cash on pokerstars Ontario, but I’ve played a little bit of tournaments on gg, but if a hassle having to go into craft and drag the files back to hm3 because gg has its own hud! Think about playing cash on gg a little bit more but I believe the rake is a bit higher not sure about their rake back.

Yes I’ve watched you take notes during your play, it’s fairly quick something I should do more often! Especially when it comes to your thoughts about the hand, especially, your thinking process during the hand, can deviate a bit after you study, look at the hand after, you’re thoughts during the hand, how you played it, and then what was the best way line taken given all the factors taking in for consideration!
