Moving up in the PLO world, starting at PLO10. Follow my quest to crush this crazy game.

Hey RIO, I decided to start up this journal for several reasons. One is that I would like to take my game more seriously. I always tell myself I want to go pro again(former full time grinder pre BF), and I need to work on my game, I need to play more hands, I need to study more, etc. So I'm hoping this journal will help me stay accountable to improving and living my dream once again of grinding full time for a living. I'm setting my goal as having minimum 100 buy-in's for PLO50 by December so I can consider quitting my job and going pro again. (I will also have 6 months of living expenses set aside from my job to support this decision). Another is that I would love to become more involved in the RIO community (since I'm fairly new here). So please feel free to follow along :)

I'm a former NLHE 6max player, and just switched over to PLO about a month ago or so. Ive spent most of my free time watching videos and reading forums thus far and only play a few thousand hands at PLO10 to get my feet wet. I am currently working full time as a personal trainer, so i only get 5-6 hrs/week to play/study but weekends are being dedicated solely to poker, and I hope to average anywhere from 8-12 hrs/day on Saturday and Sunday of play/study time. So that works out to around 20-25 hrs/week that i can spend on poker.

My plan is fairly simple, I will play PLO10 until i have 20 buy-in's for PLO25, then I will take a 4 buy-in shot at PLO25, if successful I will stay at PLO25 until I have 20 Buy-in's for PLO50, and drop back to PLO10 if I hit $400, and rinse & repeat. I am using a pretty aggro BRM because rake at micro PLO is killer and I would like to get away from it ASAP. I also play on 2 sites because micro PLO traffic is pretty slim as a U.S. player.

I will update this journal every few days or so, with graphs(good or bad), HH's(good or spew), and what I'm currently studying in my game. Every Sunday I will do a review of the hands i played that week to work on leaks that I have. Studying will be reserved for Sundays only, except for my 10-20 min of video watching as a pre-session warm up every time I play.

Thanks for following, you wont regret it ;)
