"slightly" +EV calls preflop when with above average chips and 'crippled' if all-in is lost

Hey there,

I am not sure as to how to think about the above mentioned situation in tournaments.

My specific situation is a ~40max SnG tournament in my local casino that starts with 50BB for ~1 1/2 hours of play during which 1 Reentry is allowed and then offers an addon for the buyin amount that adds twice the starting stack which leaves everyone at around ~40BB after the first pause and then proceeds in sort of a hyperturbo format WITHOUT ANTE and from 20 players left onwards the average chips is usually around 12-20BB with ~5 places being paid.

The field is a mix of some onlinekide grinders, the typical complete fish, and then semi competent players with the biggest leak that they are way too loose in the early stages, limp and coldcall too much with ~25BB, and are too tight 20BB and lower regarding shoving/reshoving/calling and stealing ranges.

The situation that made me think about this "concept" is the following:
12 players left

I am BB with ~15BB with the average being 11 or 12 with ATs and the BU shoves for exactly 10 BBs
and usually I think I am in this kinda spot:

de.pokerstrategy.com
Equity Win Tie
UTG 49.65% 46.38% 3.27% { 22+, AJs+, A9s-A2s, KTs+, QJs, JTs, T9s, A8o+, KQo }
BB 50.35% 47.08% 3.27% { ATs }

which would theoretically make it a call, lets pretend

ICM does not really play a role at this stage but I can't help to feel that going for a close spot preflop WHEN CRIPPLED AFTERWARDS IF LOST might not be as desirable as using my postflop skill and the general villains tendencies to mess up spots preflop in the blinds etc. with an above average stack...

How do you think about these spots... take the flip for the win and a very good chance to finsih ITM/win or with stacksizes so clutch and awkward fold and wait for better spots?
