session review questions

hello everyone I am going to post a few questions here maybe a lot of this stuff will be trivial or simple so hope you don't mind.

Question #1 :

Anyway, I start at a table first hand and have 30 bb stack ($7.5). I get T875 w/ three clubs and MP opens for pot and it folds to me in BB. Villain is still unknown at this point so what should I estimate his range to be? I estimated 12%. Should I defend?

Vs a 12% PPT range I have 38.57% equity. Getting 2:1 is this enough equity to call? If not then how much equity do I need to call, or is this a problem which cannot be quantified?

Surely you will all concede that if I change the 5 to a 9 then I have T987 with 3 clubs I must defend. But T987 vs 12% PPT range has only 39.01% equity, which seems to argue that if I should defend T987 I should also defend T875. Vs loose ranges my equity increases slightly.

Question #2 :

table is temporarily heads up. I have 9543 with two diamonds. Villian opens 3x. My understanding is that heads up you are supposed to call all but the worst hands. Do you agree? Should I call this hand, even though it is devoid of high card strength, and because the suit is only five high can't count much there either? Or is the the card cluster enough to defend with hu?

Question #3 :

I defend A988 ds vs button pot open. 30 bb effective. Vs 50% range we have 54% equity so I don't think folding is an option. Flop comes QdTc5d, so we have weak flush draw, bd flush draw and gutty. SPR of 4. Villain c-bets around half pot. What is our play?

Question #4 :

5667 w/ 3 diamonds.

We over limp the button after CO open limps (4 handed game). 36 bb effective. 4 to the flop. Flop comes

T76 w/ 2 hearts. We have bottom set. Co bets $0.75, 3/4 pot. CO posted utg when he first came to the game and open limped this hand but otherwise no read. Do you call or fold? We are drawing to the underfull and not closing the action but we might have the best hand. Was preflop okay?

Hand #5 :

31 bb effective

I open button to $0.60 and SB flats. BB pots it to $2.40. I have Ad6cQd5h. I think my open is sound but with this hand I should fold to the three bet,as my hand is weak, disconnected and contains an ace. Also my short stack limits my implied odds if I do end up flopping big enough to continue. Is this correct?

Situation #6 :

I call 8895 with one suit in the SB vs CO pot open and button flat. 100 bb effective. Is this a profitable call or should I fold because my cards are so middling and my position so poor, as well as not closing the action? My
hand is quite connected.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts on these situations.
