Thanks guys for your suggestions. I use Flopzilla to design ranges. In game I am using HM2-HUD and will not be switching to PT4 in the near future. Those popups look very handy though.

Post | Perdurabo posted in Chatter: Train to think in ranges

Hey RIO,
as a beginner I'm wondering how to put villains on handranges in game.

Are there any thechniques to learn that efectivley? In game I have no real thoughtprocess developed regarding the ranges. Sometimes I get lazy and even forget about it.

What I am doing to train handreading:
- Go through my handhistories and try to assign ranges
- Speak out loud to myself while being in game

Do you use some kind of mental checklist I dont know about? :)
Any suggestions how to train myself to think in ranges?

Thanks

Hey RIO,
I found that the navigationbar (or however you call that thing at the bottom) of the videoplayer is popping up every 5 seconds. I am not moving my mouse or anything. Is that just my set up here? I tried switching from html to flash - nothing.

Cheers

As Mikey said, I wouldnt have a good plan how to continue on a turn that brings a heart. So getting it in on the flop makes most sense to me now. In game BN held T9hh, hit his draw and made me wonder how to play that spot correctly. On a board texture thats no as drawy as in the example I really like the idea of checking my top sets OOP. Thanks guys for your thoughts and help.

ok, thanks. Like you and Chael recommended I ll definitly try fixed sizings according to the textures. Its even easier to multitable:) Just wondering if 25nl players really pay close attention to my betsizings or if its better to exploit their tendencies for more profit?

Post | Perdurabo posted in NLHE: C-Bet Standard Spots?

Hi RIO, my first post here. I am a beginning microstakes player trying to sort out somewhat standard c-bet spots on the flop. Especially the betsizing is giving me problems (the fat ones in particular). I know that my list is generalizing a lot. Your advice is much apreciated.

1. Dry board - For value
1.1. strong hand - dry board - villain calls a lot  > bet 75% (your betsize ?)
1.2. strong hand - dry board - villain folds a lot  > bet 60% (your betsize ?)

2. Dry board - Bluff
2.1. weak/no hand - dry board - villain calls a lot   > bet 50% (check) (your betsize ?)
2.2. weak/no hand - dry board - villain folds a lot   > bet 60% (your betsize ?)

3. Wet board - For value
3.1. strong made hand - wet board - villain calls a lot > bet 75% (your betsize ?)
3.2. strong made hand - wet board - villain folds a lot > bet 75% (your betsize ?)

4. Wet board - Semi bluff

4.1. drawing hand - wet board - villain calls a lot  > bet 60% (your betsize ?)
4.2. drawing hand - wet board - villain folds a lot  > bet 75% (your betsize ?)

5. Wet board –  Bluff (better give up!?)
5.1. weak/no hand - wet board - villain calls a lot  > bet (check) (your action ?)
5.2. weak/no hand - wet board - villain folds a lot > bet 50% (check) (your action ?)
