It's clearly a profitable shove, but I'd raise-fold in that spot every time. I was playing the 2.50$ turbos when I started out and people in those buy-ins just don't realize how wide you can shove on button opens with the added value. Ax and pocket pairs are generally everything people will be shoving on you there in those stakes, with which they will almost always have you crushed and are likely to call anyway if you just open shove.

Sure, it's exploitable, but so is almost everything that will get you a massive boost in ROI at the micros.

Every now and then however you'll come across people who will shove any two when you min open from the button, so there isn't really a right answer there, if you have no information on the players in the blinds.
All you can do is get enough experience in the stakes you're in until you have an idea of peoples general ranges when you have no reads on them.

Hi, I've been grindind 3.50$ and 7$ turbo STT's for a while now and I'm wondering what the attainable ROI in 2016 would be in these? Any information I could find so far was posted somewhere between 2009-2013 and I assume the ROI has gone done heavily since then.

I've heard people say that even 5% ROI is extremely high for 7$ turbo STT's these days, is that true?

Hope someone can help!

Post | SubCZ posted in MTT: C-betting second pair

Hey, I'm never really sure how to play my second pair hands (or pocket pairs with a flopped overcard) on a dry flop without a flush draw possible when I am the preflop aggressor.

If I c-bet I feel like I am very likely behind when I get called with almost no chance of catching up and will have to check fold the turn to a bet anyway.
If I don't c-bet though and just check-call, it seems very easy to put me on a second pair type of hand and double/triple barrel me off of it.

Hope someone has some advice or can recommend some training videos where some of thise gets explained.. (couldn't find any yet but I can only access the essential pack)

Thank you!

Hey, yes it was a Fifty50 sit n go, thanks for the response! Is the only reason this wouldn't be profitable in 15/30 blind levels that there aren't any antes in play yet?

The regular sit n gos (non-Fifty50 ones) have a ante of 4 at 15/30 blind levels already, does that mean defending would be profitable in these despite the low blind levels because of the antes?
