As always, the game begins when the players place their desired bets. From there, the dealer dealt two cards, both facing upwards, to the player. Depending on the rules of the casino, the dealer may also be dealt himself/herself with two cards, but with just one of them is facing upwards, while second one is face down at the outset. At this point, if the total of your both cards is 21, you could already be a winner. This happens only when you have a card with an ace’s value which is counted as an 11 and a 10 or a face card which is counted as a 10.

Every casino has their own rules, so it is highly advisable that before you start playing, you must read the rules of blackjack which are already written on the table. When you are going to a new casino and wants to play any game, it is recommended that you always read the rules very carefully at the beginning.

Winning and Losing : To win the game, you must hold two cards when the total is equal to 21 or less than 21. In this condition, you beat the dealer’s hand. In case, if the total of your both cards is 21, you will win. If you go over 21 or the dealer has a hand of 21 or under that and is greater than yours, you lose your bet. On the other hand, if you tie the dealer, the turn automatically goes to the next player.

Splitting pairs : You can split when dealt a pair of two aces. To split your pairs, you separate the identical cards by leaving them face up and place an amount of chips equal to your original bet in front of your new hand.

Double Down : When you double down, always place a matching bet next to your original bet and receive one and only one additional card, which completes your hand. This option makes it possible for you to double your bet under favorable conditions.

Surrender : If the dealer does not have blackjack, the players have the option to surrender, and lose only half of their original bet. When you surrender, the dealer will take your cards and half of your original betting amount. Surrender option is only useful in one condition if your card’s value is weak (e.g.; a 16) and the dealer is showing a powerful up-card (e.g.; an ace).
