I am considering getting into a CFP with a friend of a friend, right now I play live poker predominantly but want to be able to move abroad to Asia or Eastern Europe. I don't know the profitability of 6max Hold em games online, as I have mostly played in casinos for 2 years.
Is online hold 'em truly unprofitable now? People are whining about games are dead, I was going to make the switch to Omaha but don't have the bankroll.
I am rambling now, I wanted you guys to chime in with your answers on what makes a great coach. I don't think i can make it to the level of poker I want to make it, on my own. So I am considering a CFP program but want to know what makes a good coach.
The weakest part of my game is mental game, and improving off the table. I would need a lot of direction and constant supervision if I were to get a coach.
What are your guys experiences with coaches? What were the biggest positives and negatives from your experience?

Honestly I lucked into mine through a friend of a friend. I am sure you can post here, ask some of the big cats or look into 2+2 I imagine.

Finding Skype groups and people to sweat you + play with has helped me immensely.
This journey is hard enough by itself, don't go alone.

I've seen great friendships destroyed through such foolishness. Tread very carefully and I would not recommend mixing money with friends ever. Poker might be worse than business.

I really appreciate the 3 things on how to beat micros and what confuses you the most (work on that).
To OP, it sounds like you have an exacerbation being caused by your ego. You are looking at things with no locus of control . (The sites suck, the fish get lucky, regs are too good, rake is too high). I struggle with the same demons, especially when I get frustrated.
All you can do is stay in control of your emotions and play the cards you were dealt. Start simple. What is my biggest leak? How do I lose the most money? What am I doing wrong?
Many people here spoke many wise words to you, and you lashed out. Try some meditation, change your mindset. It's all free advice being given to you, and you are spitting poison.
Focus on what you can control, and work from there.

Seeing threads like this make me incredibly wary to hire any kind of coach. Major trust issues now. I am surprised RIO keeps the endorsement of him.
