Hey Felipe,
Thanks so much for the advice. That does sound like a nice systematic way to go about it. Will definitely give start with this, I'm really keen on bringing up my tournament game and willing to put in the effort required.
Here's hoping thing pan out :)
Cheers!

Hey Guys,

So there's a chance i'm trying to take the lazy way out get all the info I need in one place. I've recently started playing MTTs, and I feel like there's some things lacking in my game. I do end up making it close to the bubble mostly, but i always find myself with 15 - 20 BB stacks by then. I was wondering if one could tell me what are the core things i should focus on to become better at MTTs? Or rather, if you were to list the top 5 areas to start studying, what would you recommend?

And if someone is feeling nice enough, to lay out a kind of study path/plan, i'd be forever grateful and send lots of good energy your way!

Looking forward to everyones insights!

Hey guys, i have another question for you awesome lot!

So here's the situation, UTG Min Raises, I (75BB stack) re-raise 3x with KK from MP, SB (44Bb stack) calls, everyone else folds. SB

Flop Tc4d4c
SB Checks, I bet half pot, SB Calls.
Turn 3h
I bet 2/3 Pot, SB shoves, I call.
SB holds TT, and i lose the hand.

Should i have played this any differently? Should i have gone in for pot control on the turn and checked? All thoughts welcome :)

Hello Peeps!

I'm going to be bombarding you all with a few noob questions, so please bear with me :)

There are two hands here.

Hand 1:
I'm sitting with a 24 BB stack UTG + 2 on 7 person table. I'm holding TT, and UTG+1 (32bb stack) (who has been pretty active and raising a fair bit from all positions) raised 2.2x. People behind me are relatively weak, not really 3 betting much without premium hands, but have been limping a lot and calling raises. I decided to Re-jam my stack as i put Original raiser on KQ+, 88+, AJ+, thinking that i'd have decent fold equity in some cases, and at worst flipping. But then i realised later that my fold equity against this player was lesser than i thought since he seemed to be calling a lot of raises as well.

My question is, given the above information, is it better to flat his raise and get more people in for value, or is it better to re-jam and try get heads up against him? And with a 25BB stack, should i be happy going in against AJ+,kq+? Also, if i flatted and everyone folded and i was heads up against him, on a K94 board, do i usually get it in?

Hand 2: I have just joined the table so dont have many reads on the players.
UTG (300Bb) Raises 3x, its folded to me (80BB) on BTN and i re-raise 4x with KK, and UTG calls. Flop is QQA. He checked, I checked. Turn T, he bet half pot, i called, river 7, he bets 2/3 pot, i fold.

Did i play this wrong? Should I have C-bet the flop? What would be the best play here?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the insight. Recently made a foray into tournament Poker, and trying real hard to plug my leaks as i always seem to be min cashing, or busting close to the bubble

Post | flipperson posted in MTT: How to play QQ here?

Middle stage of tournament

Blinds 600/1200
UTG (50250) limps
UTG+1 (52545) raises to 3200
Player folds
Hero (29000) Calls with QcQd.
BTN Folds
SB Folds
BB Folds
UTG Calls

Flop (12240) : 4s8s9d
UTG Checks
UTG + 1 bets 9180
Hero shoves

What would be the best line of play ? What range can i put the player on? Could i have played this any differently? I lost the hand as the UTG +1 had KK.
Should i have re-raised pre and folded to shove in order to define original raisers hand better?

Any insights would be helpful.

Thanks in Advance!

For some reason i couldn't post this in the hand history section as i kept getting Invalid hand history. So putting this here?

I'd love to get some feedback on how this hand could've been played best? This was on an anonymous table so i don't have any reads on the players yet.

TIA!
