Awe, a revisit to the good ol' Tao Te Ching. Good advice, Thanks Chris!

In the first hand, I'm wondering do we ever take the passive, check/call line in favor of bet/folding?

Being a 6 card game, SRP 3-way, I'd imagine we should be a little weary of some A3xxxx combos.

Check-calling or having it checked behind both seem fairly favorable. We get a free card to our low and potentially good straight draws and get to re-evaluate on turn, or check and keep the pot more manageable in a spot where we don't want to get in a huge battle with the button..

Yeah, I agree with Iteopepe. Really two different situations. His general raising range is going to consist of many more A2 (which sure we have blockers too), but also A3 combos... It's definitely a bit broader on the button but still we have no high equity, and we're repping the low as played when we lead river thus he should be calling with more high's and obviously he will be continuing w/his nutted lows.

As It mentions in the other 35 is just significantly more likely to be the nut low once the ace hits the river based on the same raising range although again we can broaden his range based on positions but still have to assign Ace-Littles with a much higher % than other randoms...

Curious @18:30 w/A8 my default is usually to be something like 1/3 pot or less here to see if we can get one of those hands mentioned 10x/9x to call, but we're suggesting 66% pot in Vid. It feels like they're not often going to call with worse w/that sizing? I suppose it sucks to get check raised w/the 1/3 sizing, but aren't we essentially committing ourselves anyways @ 66%? Thanks

What's up guys? Just bought a new poker table and was looking to get a weekly game/study session going in SW Vegas.

I' was playing professionally for several years, but am currently working (IT) and playing some week nights (usually online ACR/WSOP) and both live/online weekends.

Have a projector/big screen in the casa too. Open too ideas/breaking down hands with various tools, and/or playing out mtt and discussing hands after, etc.. I also play a lot of mixed games, but working more on my NL Tourney currently -- but have won a number of lower/mid stakes 200-600$ buyin HORSE/PLO8/O8/8-game tournaments.

Drop me Skype/Email/Contact in whichever form you prefer if interested.

26:10 -  Consider limping with KK from SB?  15Bigs (BB) is a decent shoving stack - may induce him to shove light here...

Nice Vid.  I like the deeper analysis of particular hands -  Only thing is I'd be careful to judge too much by what your range would be in their spots rather than what their range is based on their play/play-style.

Curious too.. I'll be at the Bike tomorrow.    Playing HORSE...

Agree with Gio/Nick.  The combined double all-in's may turn away slightly stronger hands behind us from reshoving who would have otherwise while we are not risking our tournament life and have a potentially very profitable uptick spot for our stack against a wide range.  Of course hands like JJ aren't turning back - but we're late enough in this spot to shove profitably. +3BB in UTG1 is going to have a very wide range which we do well against.

Agree with those NOT saying 1-way.

In GENERAL, particularly for newer players to the game an easier, effective, money-making (Beastie-boys jingle enhanced) strategy would be to do just that - play nutty A2 hands w/backup.  Stuff like A23, A24/5, etc..   preferably double suited, and preferably with a good high combo card, or pair aside from the A2 sometimes A3.

However, this isn't maximizing equity and is too simple to just say play this way all of the time.  There is definite spots when it is profitable to enter - particularly in position when it's cheap to limp behind with stuff like double suited, connected broadway cards, two big pairs, etc..    We can charge the draws and/or sometimes lockup half the pot against 2 or sometimes even 3 players with same nut low hand...

Safe way to play initially would be yes just one way nutty Ace/Wheel combo hands.
