Hey everyone,
yesterday I played a hand which still haunts me. We're in the mid/later stage of a 6max MTT (about 50 players left), I'm sitting @ the BB with KTs. It folds around to the SB, effective stacksize is 30BB. Villain is a regular player.

Table Information (Blinds are 350/700)
Seat1: Player 1 ($25,014)
Seat2: Player 2 ($10,324) Dealer
Seat3: Player 3 ($29,445) Small Blind
Seat4: Hero ($20,735) Big Blind
Seat5: Player 5 ($15,728)
Seat6: Player 6 ($30,709)

Seat1: Player 1 Ante $85
Seat2: Player 2 Ante $85
Seat3: Player 3 Ante $85
Seat4: Hero Ante $85
Seat5: Player 5 Ante $85
Seat6: Player 6 Ante $85

Preflop (Pot:1,560)

Player 6 FOLD
Player 1 FOLD
Player 2 FOLD
Player 3 RAISE $1,750

Flop (Pot: $4,445)
8c Kd Jc

Player 3 BET $1,243
Hero CALL $1,243

Turn (Pot: $6,931.00)
Ad

Player 3 BET $2,800
Hero CALL $2,800

River (Pot: $12,531)
Js

Player 3 BET $5,214
Hero FOLD
Player 3 RETURN $5,214

Showdown:

Player 3 MUCKS

Player 3 wins the pot: $17,745

The main question is: should I already raise him on the flop or even raise it up/get it in preflop with given stacksizes? My thought at the flop was that calling down would have more value considering his small sizing. And as played: do I have to call on the river? Please let me know your thoughts on this one.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Sorry for posting this as a topic, it was my first post :x
