I’ve decided to start a new blog. For now, it will be incognito. To summarize briefly: I’ve been playing for around four years and rose through the ranks quickly, only to find myself back at the bottom of the curve, grinding it out at NL 50. I had a brief stint with live poker, but it’s been disastrous so far, and I’m not sure I’ve been playing the best strategy.

As I’m getting older, I felt I was running out of time, but I’ve realized that I am in my PRIME when it comes to maturity and understanding myself. Everything that has led me to this path has been for a reason. I’ll approach this regrind as a Noobie, reworking my approach to the smartest and most effective way. But For now, I will consider myself a losing player.

I’ve made some holistic changes to my approach, one of which is only checking results on Mondays. This means I’ll post here once a week, every Monday!

I’m approaching this with the mindset of contributing to the poker community. When I reach the skill level I aim for, I will be accessible here to guide and reflect for anyone who wants it. My true passion in poker is battling REGS; I love the art of two cards more than anything related to money. However, for now, bills need to be paid, so I’ll focus on higher EV games and fit in some good live sessions whenever possible.

The strategic approach moving forward will be holistic rather than methodical. I have ADHD, and with it comes the tendency to set rules for myself, only to break them and disappoint myself for no apparent reason. I’m not sure why it works that way, but that’s just how the mind of neurodivergence operates. Over the last few months, I’ve shifted my focus to taking full responsibility for all my actions and not seeking any outward blame. I’m becoming more Stoic in poker and life: No Complaining, No Explaining is the new mantra.
