Richard Gayler's path to poker started with Starcraft 2. The American-born grinder met a few players that introduced him to the opportunities in the poker world and he made the transition quickly at age 19. His first foray into the game came at 6-max NL cash games before he found his niche in PLO and hasn't looked back since. After working his way up to lower-midtakes online, he entered into a backing arrangement for highstakes live games. In 2017 he resumed playing on his own, finding success online at 6-max, shorthanded, and HU PLO. His career took him to England where he was able to take advantage of his dual citizenship to play $500 Zoom on Stars. Since then, he's returned stateside where he plays mostly 500-2k PLO and a handful of larger live games.
His playing style is marked by playing as wide and aggressive as his opponents will allow with a VPIP over the last two years at roughly 40. His videos (including his first video) plan to focus on exploitative adjustments against both anonymous and named opponents.
Welcome aboard Richard!
