AKo SBvsCO 55BB effective on bad board

Blinds: t150/t300 (9 Players) MP+1: 9,400
MP+2: 7,882
CO: 17,585
BN: 16,757
SB: 21,940 (Hero)
BB: 16,860
UTG: 10,440
UTG+1: 4,945
MP: 12,019
Preflop (450) Hero is SB with K A
5 folds, CO raises to 660, BN folds, Hero raises to 2,520, BB folds, CO calls 1,860
Flop (5,610) 9 9 J
Hero checks, CO bets 1,800, Hero folds
Final Pot CO wins 5,610

Should I be betting small here to fold out PP, suited Ax etc? Am I getting called too often to take that line?
Guy probably a reg, really aggro but not much of a x/r just straight up attacking missed cbets and betting a lot. Steal% = 63%, Fold to 3-bet% = 87% (200 hands). I think floating flop will get me in many tough situations, that I dont know what to do. Maybe with the club I should be taking a shot.
