i decide to lead this flop to protect againt different conected cards that the others player may hit on turn and also to gain value of mid pair. If the BU (with 7bb) jam i will call. This bet was basically to know where im standin at

Now that i see the hand i think maybe i should made a block bet of 1/3 pot and fold to a raise. But in that moment i decided to check call máximum a 1/2 pot bet size

What do u guys think about the line i take in this hand? It´s ok to lead on that flop when the BU was 7bb and i can kick out the utg to protect my top pair thet seems to be the best hand on flop?
