[25NLz] UTG vs BU 3bet pot check back from villain on dry board

Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 (6 Players) BN: $58.16
SB: $8.89
BB: $53.94
UTG: $25.35 (Hero)
MP: $26.69
CO: $23.43
Preflop ($0.35) Hero is UTG with J Q
Hero raises to $0.56, 2 folds, BN raises to $2.00, 2 folds, Hero calls $1.44
Standard open I think from UTG with QJs. Villain is an unknown. I have hands on most regs in my game so I assume he is a weaker player. Weaker players tend to 3bet fairly honest in my experience, but QJs is too good to not defend.
Flop ($4.35) T 2 2
Hero checks, BN checks
Is this check back by villain a viable strategy? What hands would he do this with?
Turn ($4.35) T 2 2 8
Hero bets $2.75, BN calls $2.75
3betting ranges consist mostly of A-high hands, so I decided to start barreling to get him of those hands. I assumed that his checking back range on the flop was unbalanced, so I still have an uncapped range and decided to attack this board.
River ($9.85) T 2 2 8 8
Hero bets $6.21, BN calls $6.21

I have put my thought process on every street. Curious to know what you think and any critique on my play is welcome!
