In this hand, I wanted to check whether or not I should raise the flop with my TT on an 8 high board.

Preflop: Facing a MP 3Bet in EP I mix up calling and raising TT. My RNG was < 50 so I decided to call.

Flop: 8c 2s 2d. This board favours OOP. Standard check for me on the flop. MP bets just under half pot which felt weak to me at the time (PIO likes MP to bet large with its whole range). Here I face a decision to call or raise. I decided to call. PIO likes calling with TT and raises QQ/JJ.

Turn: Qs. This street went X, X. If I faced a bet PIO calls with the TTs here about 75% of the time.

River: As. This street went X, X. If I X-called a bet on the turn I would have to x-fold my TT here. Interestingly PIO has a donking range on this river card (assuming that we faced a bet on turn). PIO likes to donk 88, 87 and 89 (sets and flushes with the other 87s and 89s combos being bluffs).

Lesson: It can be tempting to raise for protection, but PIO likes to raise the top of its range. In this flop spot the top of my range was QQ/JJ and not TT.
