I would like to hear some thoughts on the following topic.

Let's suppose we are against a whale which when limps, calls our raise up to x10 and when open raise, calls our 3bet up to x5 when we have position. The fish is also calling station postflop.

When I raise to the max and then miss the flop I have close to zero FE. Yes I understand that we have stronger range but I still feel like I burn money playing like this. Why not raising to the standard size and value bet when we hit?
