Continuation Bet on FLOP/TURN?

Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 (6 Players) CO: $26.71
BN: $35.82
SB: $25.10
BB: $30.04
UTG: $25.95
MP: $64.56 (Hero)
Preflop ($0.35) Hero is MP with 5 T K A
UTG raises to $0.85, Hero raises to $2.90, 4 folds, UTG calls $2.05
Villain has been opening UTG very wide. I decide to 3B and take position.
Flop ($6.15) 3 Q 8
UTG checks, Hero bets $3.00, UTG calls $3.00
I c-bet small because his wide opening range UTG on this dry board can make my small c-bet very profitable.

But what I'm wondering is if I should check-behind hands like this. That has equity vs his range. Although I'm not getting check raised often on this board but I should construct a checking range here. For my low equity hands, I think a c-bet works better. With hands like this with equity vs his range, I think I should be checking hands like this but not sure what other hands would also like to check.
Turn ($12.15) 3 Q 8 8
UTG checks, Hero bets $7.55, UTG calls $7.55
I continuation bet this turn but I don't like it.

1. Hands that check/call flop are not folding to this turn very often.
2. I wouldn't need much protection for my over pairs or have many bluffs to c-bet again here once he calls flop.
3. When I do get called, my hand has very low equity.

What do you think the best way to play this hand is?

Thanks RIO.
