In regards to dropping from 4-3 zoom tables and increasing your winrate, what are your thoughts on just avoiding zoom all together for regular tables Phil?

Which trainer did you go with? How is the journey?

I'm glad you added a title to the top of the black screen. During the 1st video I spent 5 minutes trying to figure out if my cord was messed up. :( Great video, I've always loved hearing your thoughts.

Agreed, trying to outplay people at 10NL OOP is a good way to lose a lot of money, just fold.

Why wouldn't you know what they're doing? It doesn't take very many hands to figure out how to exploit someone.

Yesterdays $1 Million ended with a chop between Ukraines Ra1syDa1sy and the UK's TalkinAboot?. For their effort they split $289,000 for $144,750 a piece and Ra1syDa1sy took home the extra $20,000 they played for to earn a $166,750!

The entire final table was awarded a special bank wire up to the amount they won and WPN also has bitcoin for withdraws in hours.

The next Million will be September 13th.

Welcome to my goals thread! I'm transitioning from NLHE to PLO and figured this would be an awesome way to hold myself accountable, stay motivated, and track my progress. I'm sure I'll be posting many hands so please, feel free to leave some comments!

-The Plan-
Start at PLO 25 w/ 30 buy ins. (Going to be aggressive as I can reload as needed)

Take 5 buy in shots once I reach 40 buy ins at my current stake. I'll be adjusting my buy in amount higher once I get to 100 PLO.

-Background-
Decent winner at MTTs and HUNL cash and SNGs. I've played a few K PLO hands but haven't really spent much time studying the game and focusing on it. Outside of Sundays and special tournament series I will be playing only PLO and mainly 6 max. I work a day job as well so I won't be putting in a ton of volume, but I normally I get 20-30 hours of poker so I'll be updating fairly often.

Looking forward to getting this started! If I'm not too tired tomorrow night after work I should be able to get in a few hours on the felt.

Good video. As someone new to CREV it's nice to see you break down a hand as the software is a little overwhelming at first.

Thank you for doing this series. I really enjoyed the guest commentary and it's super cool having such a sick run documented.

No, as a US citizen you are required to pay taxes on all earned income no matter where you live in the world. If you want to stop paying US taxes then you have to give up your citizenship. Land of the free, eh?

I've really enjoyed the last few videos with guests. It really helps show your thought process when you're going back and forth with someone.

They were getting hit with DDOS attacks pretty bad during the entire series they ran. I had a top 20 stack when they cancelled the milly. Sigh...

Dec. 17, 2014 | 1:24 a.m.

I was in the top 20 when they cancelled it. :(

Yes, it's open to anyone in the world.

Marathon watching all of these. Great series so far and sick run!

Dec. 5, 2014 | 3:58 a.m.

They will bank wire the entire amount for anyone at the final table.

Dec. 4, 2014 | 10:09 p.m.

I agree, but it'd also be nice for them to run this again! If it does well they will do another in 60-90 days.

None of you guys playing it?

In 2 weeks the Winning Poker Network will be hosting a $540 $1,000,000 guaranteed tournament, who all is going to be playing it? This will be the biggest tournament offered to American players since Black Friday so I'm pretty excited!! Here's all the relevant info. Winning Millions I thought it would be fun to have a thread here for the RIO members to post sweats, beats, and brags. Good luck boys, should be fun!

Very interesting listen. The audio was really bad for 1 of the hosts, but the conversation was excellent. Pretty cool to learn a little bit about the background of Ben.

I can't even use the site on Google Chrome. When I go to the website it takes me to my feed and is grayed out and I can't click on anything.

I thought 5/10 was mid stakes?

He's too deep to shove the turn here, but how he had been playing so far I didn't expect him to raise smallish on the flop and then just flat a half pot bet on the turn. The turn is essentially a blank, so what what kind of range do you put him on when he raises the flop? He had been raising a lot w/ value hands and then following up on the turn if I chose to lead again.

Hand History | 4CardPokerz posted in NLHE: $5/$10 HUNL 3 Barrel Spot
BB: $3086.10 (Hero)
SB: $2609.21
We're pretty early in the match and I was up a few buy ins. Villain was passive in 3bet pots at this point so I widened up my 3bet range to 20% and a C bet would usually win the pot. Given how he was reacting to 3bets I decided to go w/ a 5x and get the most value out of his mistakes.

What kind of range do you guys think he gets to the river w/ and how do you feel about the sizing and action I chose?
Preflop ($15.00) (2 Players)
Hero was dealt K J
SB raises to $15, Hero raises to $91, SB calls $81
Flop ($202.00) 6 7 9 (2 Players)
Hero bets $100.50, SB raises to $260, Hero calls $159.50
He was folding to C Bets a little more than 50% so I chose to lead into him in many different spots with both value and bluffs. In similar spots I had chosen to bet smaller w/ lots of value so I went w/ a half pot bet instead of my standard 2/3 pot bet. He was playing more cautiously when I chose this sizing.

When he just basically clicks it back I'm not putting him on a very strong range. Earlier in the match he had been calling 3Bets w/ bad suited K's & A's so I definitely felt hands like K7, K8, A8 were in his range and he would make a fishy raise planning to steal the pot on the turn if I checked w/ overs.
Turn ($722.00) 6 7 9 6 (2 Players)
Hero bets $360.50, SB calls $360.50
The 6 didn't change anything for us and he was floating a lot so I went w/ another half pot bet. After he raised the flop trying to (in my mind) fake aggression I though it'd be best to stick w/ the plan barrel like I was going for value. I had A8,A9, and overs in my range for sure and had only been called when I had it in previously spots. When he flats after raising the flop I'm convinced even more that he isn't very strong.
River ($1443.00) 6 7 9 6 8 (2 Players)
Hero bets $961.33, SB folds
When the 8 rolls off i think I have to pull the trigger for a 3rd barrel here every time. I want to get paid off in this spot in the future and so he was calling when I barreled for value. Even if I got called here it would bode well for me later as I was barreling value a lot.

The 8 hits more of my range than his unless he has exactly a T because any combo draw would have been played more aggressively imo. I also felt like he would be folding his 2nd and 3rd pairs he called w/ and he had been wrong hero calling in the spot a lot already.

I based my sizing on how I'd play a value hand here and went a little larger than the 1st 2 streets. I didn't want him to sigh call because I bet half pot again. I started to go for an over bet all in of $2300 or so, but he was playing guessing games when I chose that path and he had seen me bluff a lot more in those spots.
Final Pot
