Take your negativity to your mother. She will give you a hug and your favourite food. Pet a dog, they always give love back.

And get laid. It will release a lot of stress. Can't get a girl, go do a work out, it does not beat sex but is closest to it.

Good luck.

Btw. Its not really a c/r right? This is a procedural check? Does that change anything about the way I played it?

he could be c-betting with a lot more than he would with a valuebet?

He is not folding his lower pocket pairs here? Or his air?

True about the broadway cards

Tried it to today to just bet every time it's checked to me when the other guy is the aggressor. I got c/r once in a very bad spot for a check raise + where it didn't make much sense to c/r versus me (we only played a couple of hands and not even together).

So conclusion so far is that when you get cr it's obvious from a fancy player which is easy to make note of. But for the rest, players are straight forward and a check most often means they give up.

That means that every time it's checked to me I should bet and I print money? Pretty cool shit.

So do we keep the stats in the HUD or do we minimize our hud for stats that actually matter?

We could argue if most regs at 2nl / 5nl / 10nl aren't considered fish or atleast big leaks where we do get a big enough sample size to make some conclusions.

Comment | Aurelius commented on A high on river

that we don't have many outs does not matter much here? if there was a spade on the flop i would have bet the flop more often i think

May 25, 2017 | 3:07 p.m.

According to a book I am reading the WTSD stat is accurate around 500 hands.
300 hands = poor
100 hands = aweful

With 3-bet stats, the book advices also a bigger sample size.

Most fish at 2nl, 5nl, 10nl, wont ever play 300 hands. Most fish, you play 1 session with.

Are stats like WTSD still useful?

I think it's a flaw in the book or a flaw in my understanding. The author states that a high WTSD with fish means we can valuebet wider. That's valueable informational, but then what do we do with fish who never reach a useful sample size?

Good job man. I am a bit in a different stage now. I am happy when I can play a couple of hours in the weekend, and perhaps a couple of hours during my workweek. Lots of "grown up obligations" lol I work 40-50 hours a week, I train 6 times a week and I have a child on the way.

Poker, unfortunately, is a bit low on the priority list but I do want to be able to grow my roll and get better each time a play.

I think, if somebody has the time and willingness to go deep with poker and he/she really loves it, go for it. And that's what you did so kudos :)

Hi, thank you. Perhaps you think "why would he post such a hand". I think these "little pots" can teach sometimes more than the big pots where I lost an entire stack.

I could not agree more. When I played 100NL back in 2013 I think my biggest mistake was not remaining calm and collected which caused me not being able to jump to midstakes.

How do you know its garbage? Did you buy all the programs?

True, most people are self interested animals. You too. You need to tell your truth in a forum and try to get something out of it.

Hi Copernicus,

Why do you think that's true? Besides him charging good money for it which you mention in almost every post thusfar.

And, even if he is money hungry, why would it matter to you? If his clients are happy buying his products, what's the problem?

Do you hate capitalism?

If some stats are only useful at a certain sample size, is it then better to filter it out in the HUD until you hit that sample size?
