Yes, it's true he can overcall even with monsters here sometimes even tho it's not great to play with them OOP multiway but it's not as bad with lower SPR...So thereis still posibility he has QQ+ and therefore it's even worse for us...river is clear fold IMO on these stakes...

Ty for reply I think it's good to check back with hand like this as we block so much of villains continuing range....I would most likely bet 3 streets with low AXs for value as it's easie to extract value with less blockers. Would also bet with lower flushes as we can again get value from flush draws and protect our hand at the same time. Those boards are hard to play with somehow balanced strategy and I think it's best to play them quite accordingly to our hand and don't bother with ''range play'' here, those spots are also quite rare so even if we don't play theoretically perfect poker it doesn't cost us much. I would also take advantage of fact that villains range is quite inelastic to bet size and would bet bigger for value because IMO villains just continue with roughly same range vs different sizings here as I guess no-one on this stakes analyze those spots enough if at all. I aggree that river is mistake and clickback or something like 2.5x would be the best option given the line :)

Thank you very much, very helpful and insightful reply :-), I feel bit overwhelmed now :D This is quite complicated strategy (at least for my level) and I guess I will have to read it few more times and think about it more. Wish I will get to this level of thinking about poker one day :-D Gonna analyze this hand more using equilab etc so I can come out with good balanced strategy for turn and river...thanks again, I have something to think about now, hope I can implement this strategy to my game

Aug. 7, 2019 | 10:27 p.m.

Thanks for nice analysis again :-D That line with turn overbet and river jam seems pretty good here, I think we will run into some flushes sometimes but it shouldn't be problem as it's just not profitable play for villain over long period. I don't use those overbets enough. When should we generally use line like this? I've seen it by some pros sometimes but I'm not sure when to use this overbetting line. I mean, I realize that we should use it with polarized range and in spots where we can have nuts while villlain is unlikely having strong hand, spots good for our range vs villains range. We should do it with hands we are willing to stack-off on the river unless some very bad card comes and we should check with the rest...Also, which textures are good for this line and which are not? Shall we use this line more on wet boards or can we use it also on dry bricked ones? How would you play this hand if board was rainbow? Thanks

Ty for reply, very useful :). So as I understood it's better to go for reraise on the flop with our strongest hands (QJ and two pairs) unless villain play very aggressively on later streets, which generally is not the case on those stakes. On the river I will overfold quite a lot as you said because it's true population on this level doesn't triple barrel anywhere near the optimal freq.

Aug. 6, 2019 | 5:45 p.m.

Hello, ty for reply..

So It's better to call with any AX and KX and TX+BDFD than with QXs and JXs with which we have GS + BDFD? I mean we have better equity with AX and KX but those GS+BDFD seem like easier to play on the turn and river OOP. Just thinking about it, it's quite hard to defend reasonable range OOP vs villains strong range :D

If I def with any AX, KTo-KQo and those middling KXs with backdoor FD, TX with backdoor FD and Q9s and J9s with BDFD and anything better than those hands ofc, it's 45% of my range. Seems good.

And how bout that turn? Would you X/R QJo there or call again?

Sorry to bother you with my silly questions :D

yes I know MDF on the flop especially OOP is different than on the river and it's often impossible to defend enough combos profitably but it's good to realize how often we should defend roughly given the bet size

Wrote it in the post, villain has slight range advantage here with perceived range + we are OOP. I prefer to play polarized range her with bigger sizing so I win more with my value range and make my bluffs more effective here. This range is pretty good for IP player and solvers usually recommend cbetting something like 45% here with bigger sizing. I agree that players on this level don't quite understand flop sizings but I really don't like betting whole range on this texture as my strategy on turn and river will be very poor (as well as on the flop esp. when facing reraise) especially on board like this. Sizing is one thing but cbetting 100% really seems to be off here OOP on board that hits villain pretty good.

July 23, 2019 | 11:23 p.m.

Thank you for your response.
I agree that it should be good to X/C most TX and bet with JTs is better then other TX.
What AK,AQ would you cbet, only the suited diamonds and AdKx, AdQx or even AxKd and AxQd? Same with KQ and KJ - suited diamonds and KdQx and KdJx? Wouldn't cbet with backdoor A2 - A5, only with diamonds. I agree that we should X/C with QQ+ sometimes to protect our checking range. Would choose then ones with diamond to do this, especially AdAx and KdKx as you said.
I know that solver is mixing like crazy (both sizings and frequencies) in spots like this but it's close to impossible for human to play solvers strategy here :D ( and I don't even own solver yet). I would simplify my strategy by using that hands I mentioned above...I'm just not sure how wide shall I cbet...
