Is there any way to understand why a line is taken? Or advice you may have as to how to interpret logic behind lines?

Also, what kind of ML was used in this GTO trainer? Is this a neural network on the backend?

I'm having a hard time understanding why AdKs4s4c is a 4b when facing a 3b

Thanks!

I admit I think this spot is a bit curious. It's hard for him to have worse hands to call(worse two pairs), but it feels like we are relatively high up in range. Are we only having enough bluffs to value bet 68 here? Do we like betting QJ more than Q9?

Post | Com3G3tSom3 posted in PLO: Bankroll Management

HI everyone,

I have a problem with bankroll management. And ego. I'm playing .5/1 PLO all the way up to 10/20. There is no way I should even be playing 3/6. I do not have the BR for it. I run it up and take shots when I see the tables are clearly soft. Eventually I run bad and am back to square 1 before I ever ran it up. Usually don't even cash out. I think I'm good enough to be able to get my bankroll up to be able to sustainably play 3/6 and 5/10. I'm kind of tired of being stuck in the 100 trenches and need some sort of a goal to help encourage discipline.

What kind of challenges would you suggest to help encourage discipline on my part? Some kind of firm approach to bankroll management approach is needed.

Any thoughts/ideas are sincerely appreciated.

I am typing from mobile, sorry if any mistakes.

~11:00 minutes in we decide to value bet our AAQ4dd on a Kh6d5d6s board if I remember correctly. It struck me that you decided to go for a large sizing with this delayed CB. Would like to hear your thoughts on why you bet 275 here. On a board pairing turn when we have a perceived capped range, I would think that a smaller, half pot bet may be better with range. Part of the reason is that a lot of our river value bet range is going to be pretty thin. A smaller $150 sizing gets villain to fold a lot giving us a nice price on a bluff, as well as enables us to bet 3/4 pot or so and put viallain into some wonky spots OTR. What do you think about this sizing adjustment?

Wow! I especially enjoyed the 2-7, but have to say you were able to communicate your thought process in a way that is tough to do - you're a good teacher. Thank you for this insightful video, really looking forward to the next

Hey Tom,

I am very new and trying to learn Razz, and this material is perfect for me. When studying other games I have found that poker theory in general is a fairly dry subject. I need to learn this game, but am having a hard time keeping my attention. I will give it another shot this afternoon. Perhaps in the future some of your videos could be more succinct and straight forward. I would suggest limiting bullet points, and nutshelling key arguments that you really want to drill home, to a novice like me. Thanks for posting such valuable material

14:55, you discuss check call check call line with an underboat of 777AA on 57AA board. It seems to me that we are missing a ton of value by not putting in two bets on the turn. Considering villain did check flop, doesnt that cap his range significantly in a way that enables us to open up the door to bluff him? I wouldn't mind having a fairly high XR bluffing range in this spot, which makes me definitely want to include this value hand into XR OTT. I agree that we will be running into a better hand sometimes. I guess it seems to me that combinatorically the boats that he has are just very few compared to the trip combos that we want to be shoveling money in the pot both with bluffs and value. Would you agree?

Few questions:

How often should we actually be snowing? I am not sure how to figure this out and am new to limit games. You touch on this topic at 55:00 and say we should snow a 'decent amount'. Help me understand this. It seems to me that because it is a limit game and our opponent is always going to be getting great odds to call us, we are only interested in bluffing a small amount of the time. I guess snowing is a kinda semi-bluff? I don't know could use some help - thanks.
