its MP tho.. and villain is tight but not very solid (not fullstack). I still agree that is possible to fold TT vs tight opponent..
But lets say u get to this spot postflop...

I think 4bet shove pre simplify things when he has 66bb. Cause any small size 4b generate weird SPR postflop. Maybe IP an for a smaller size like 12-12.5 makes more sense.. dunno
As played i think x/shove flop is fine, cb/call is fine (it wouldnt be to make fold better hands - just for pure value).. money is going in

decent spot, yes

Nov. 19, 2020 | 7:08 a.m.

I like this play.

I think villain doesn't block me

what do you mean there?

Nov. 19, 2020 | 7:04 a.m.

Pair+draw we need to continue turn. Price is not bad and its still possible that we are ahead

In the turn I bet more for information or to see how he reacts to a really small bet. When he only calls I assume his hand is beating me.

This actually makes his range more capped with a bunch of middle strengh hands (88,T9s,98s,TT,AK).
We should go for another valuebet (small) on the river.

Nov. 18, 2020 | 2:05 p.m.

I think being this deep, going for max value might not be the best. He could start to find folds with 6x.
I think we need a size that allows villain to play a next hand. Hero size is fine (could be larger, maybe), itll get calls from 6x and maybe worse.

Nov. 18, 2020 | 1:53 p.m.

Yeah 4b shove looks nice with the dead money.
Btw i think we need to bluff river. Hard to have worse here and blocking his rare AA,KK,AQ,KQ. Also forcing him to fold chops.

Comment | Dre.AS commented on 4BP 3barrels bluff

yeah, either line wont have a high EV here. I guess that i feel more comfortable being the aggressor (knowing that im doing "ok" equity wise vs villains range). Feel like its gonna be harder for me to play AQo EP v CO without iniciative.
My brain tells me this will be slightly more profitable. Good brain? tough one..

Nov. 18, 2020 | 1:33 p.m.

This is very dependant on the table lineup. But as a start, u gonna have to send many hands from this CC range to your 3betting range. Not only because of rake, but because is more profitble to do so.
*Widen your 3b "bluffs" (your worst CCs) when reg steals with a rec in the blinds.
*Widen your 3b range IP when rec opens.
*CC hands that might struggle vs 4b (vs active regs w KQo,AJo,QJs,88,etc), when you have a fish in the blinds.

Btw, what are your MP,CO,BU 3b %?

Comment | Dre.AS commented on 4BP 3barrels bluff

Oh yeah my bad i forgot to describe villain. He is a loose aggro reg with a wide 3b specially IP and very little fold to 4b on a decent sample. Thats why the range i assigned him could look a bit wider than avg

Nov. 18, 2020 | 11:28 a.m.

yeah i dont think we can fold river. Expect it to be underbluffed but still. Good blockers to his value range, unblocking hearts and very rarely dominating some overplayed QJ...
KQ is better than AQ and straights+ u are calling. Dont think it would be bad to have this as the bottom of your calling range

Nov. 17, 2020 | 3:21 p.m.

Yep looks like that. Btw i block the 98ss,T9ss. Theres really no 9x in his range

Nov. 17, 2020 | 12:36 p.m.

Vs this profile i prefer just calling preflop. U mentioned 4b jamming, is that a thing EP v MP? (btw i wouldnt do it vs profile).
I think flop call is fine vs this sizing.
Does the solver shove on blank turns after CB flop?

Hand 1

Hand 2

Hand 3

Hand 4

Hand 5

Hand 6

Any feedback about the general though process is welcome :) given that i havent played around solvers yet

Oh nice! never heard of it. Ill check it out ;) Also, i read your blog and u seem to have quite a bit of experience with solvers. What would u recommend for someone just with this. How to approach solvers and optimise its use.

Nov. 17, 2020 | 8:35 a.m.

I think the idea behind the play is good. Nice combo to XR flop, the turn barrel seems pretty natural, to me atleast. And river looks like an ok combo to go for it unblocking clubs and blocking 97 and AA,AK.
Not gonna give an opinion on sizes, cause i lack fundamentals
