Enjoying the discussion. If you are travelling around on your own I highly recommend Couchsurfing meet-ups! I travelled around quite a lot and went to loads of these in different countries and always met loads of great people (also some very strange people). The Budapest one was in a tiny bar that was opened just for this occasion last time I went!

Hey guys,

I was previously CatorMan (lost access to everything) I had one fairly long blog and a few failed attempts, we are back again in Crypto winter having semi successfully avoided the crash with an attempt to put 100% into poker.

STOP
1. Worrying about volume
2. Trying to do everything at once
3. Checking results
4. Chasing rakeback targets
5. Obsessing over small details
6. Stop playing zoom

START
1. Meditating
2. Being happy with gradual improvement
3. Looking for a community
4. Studying in short focused bursts
5. Playing in short focused bursts

These boil down pretty close to Patrick Howards article about low performers & high performers and unfortunately I think I have certainly fallen on the low performance side for the last few years. I am not going to list reasons as to why this is the case because I am a high performer now I am just going to do them. I want to simplify everything, so my day is quite well mapped out and I am not wasting mental energy on what I am doing. I really want to join a CFP and grow within a group, I have applied to Nachos but I also like the look of BrPC I think a really structured approach will massively help me and I believe I could be really successful within these groups, if the application is successful then this would probably alter a bit the rules I set myself.

1. 30 minutes of meditation daily

I have massively slept on this up until now. I have always appreciated the benefits of meditation but never made it a habit. This will change.

2. Exercise

This is something I have actually done very well at. I am currently in the best shape of my life. I want to push on and hit 3 gym workouts and at least 2 home workouts every week + Cardio.

3. 45 minutes of study per day.

This has to be focussed, very focussed. Absolutely no other distractions. It also has to be effective, focus on recurring spots that are applicable to my game. Do not get lost in the minutiae of a spot I will never play again.

4. Play 3 hours per day

This should be done in 3 separate sessions, with at least a 10 minute break between each. I will cap at 4 tables and I will always talk myself through decisions.

5. Check results monthly

I just think this is very beneficial to try to detach a bit from results and allow me to focus on the process.

6. Get off the computer outside of these hours

Outside of these times, I would like to; Read, Walk, Exercise and spend more time with people (& dog)

I am not sure how often I will update this, I don't want to force arbitrary updates of little significance. So I will do my best to provide some value or at least spend some time on the posts in this blog.
Thanks for those who made it this far!
