Maybe this illustrates the point im trying to make. Even though im pretty confident playing vs regs and think i have edge over many of them, i still make only 1bb/100 on all reg table (after rake obviously). But when you add few fishes to table wr immediately jumps to 10bb/100.
Ah, man, i just checked this stats in my database and im winning 3bb/100 vs 0 fish, and losing -1bb/100 when 3 fish at the table. You opened my eyes how to increase winrate :D

I didn't reffer to "where the money comes from" but to "most study should focus on fish". I think that you cannot play 27/22 and and win not studying mostly spots vs regs. You play more marginal +ev spots vs fish and vs regs. Guess which are tougher and require more studying.

" Almost all money comes from funplayers, so most of your study should focus on them."
I don't agree :P You are playing 27/22/12 style so almost ALL of your hands you play vs regs. If you want to win at poker you must be at least 0ev vs regs and that requires lots of knowledge. It's not a nice thing to win a lot from funplayer just to lose it all to regs ;)

Hi guys. How should i approach to choosing preflop ranges? Should i pick gto ranges, should i use mix strategies or just raise/fold strategy? Should i care about it at all or i should focus on general concepts and mechanism?

Hi. When i watch courses and videos from pros, they all seem to raise something like 55% PSB vs cbet or 4x while when i put this scenario into PIO it almost always prefers 3x even vs 33% cbet. Why is that and why pros x/r and raise cbets so big? Maybe it's easier to build cbet raise with 4x size because you should raise less then?

Hi guys! Recently i spoke with my friend who was in Howard's CFP program 2-3 years ago. Generally what i found out is that Nick suggested to call a lot for example BTN vs CO with hands like QTo and A8s about 15-20% range basically it's because players cbet flop, x/f turn a lot. I tried this out and it seems not working i ended up with -16bb/100 winrate. Games are different than 2-3 years ago or it requires like 10 000 sample size with CC on the button? Or maybe i dont float often enough.
From the other hand there's a trend to not have cold call range and only 3bet. I tried this too and im winning 66bb/100 with JJ+, AK excluded.
What kind of approach do you use and what is your winrate? Is Howard's approach outdated?
Is there any science about rake inpact? Is it worth to cold call because weak players will cover losses caused by rake?

My results so far:
Doesnt look good but im not a losing player. My nonsd is -10bb/100 if i could fix that and lose only half of it i would have nice winrate. I dont ask you for the answers, i ask for tips where to start to find spots/situations that cause me so much losing.
here are graphs by positions.
By looking at these graphs i can say that blinds are my biggest leaks or maybe im not winning big enough from other positions to cover losses from blind?
Results by position:
Could you recommend me some books/coursers or RIO series about defending vs cbets OOP at nl25/50? I have these GTO charts to defend vs sizing + PFR so preflop its not a big deal to me.

Still i am trying to rebuild my roll playing nl25. So far it's not that bad. I know that 170k hands it's not a sample but i dont expect to be under 2.5bb/100 ever. Look at the rake. It's huge. More than 7bb/100. Ine the old days, when i had Supernova, i would get like 50% back from it. Old days... Hope these gold age of poker will happen one more time.

Nl50 destroyed me and my mental health.
This month graph:
So im back with 2500$ bankroll and i feel like i wasted month. Really bad feeling that makes me i dont want to study and play anymore. Maybe it's a good time for a 2 days break?

Yes, one can use Monkey Viewer when PokerStars is closed.

I found something intresting. When i lock villains strategy which i think most of them play, PIO suggest to almost always x/r without x/c range. Why is that? For example BTN 3bets me and flop is Qd 6d 5d. Villains cbet strategy:
Villains strategy vs xr:
Then PIO suggest me to play like this on the flop:
Even if i make cbet tighter:
Its still just x/r:
Im tired for today and cannot focus on that. Maybe someone can give me some suggestions? :P

With Monkey Viewer you can only see preflop ranges. Theres no way to solve anything postflop. I just sent a message to PokerStars support with this question.

Sorry, i used PIO to save images with ranges.
I didnt know that using pictures which i created is against any rules :D If i print them and use not in digital version that would be ok? I dont agree that this is cheating since everyone can do the same. But i will stop using them from now.
Also i am using Monkey Viewer which can run while using PokerStars, GGPoker etc. I cannot find Monkey Viewer on prohibited programs list. Theres only MonkerSolver which is not the same.

I used Pio Solver to solve preflop at my stakes (nl25/50). I did that to have some knowledge on how should i play. What i recevied is something like 22/18/10 style with little calling and with many 4bets - especially OOP.
Open ranges: EP 17%, MP 21%, CO 28%, BTN 40%, SB 42%.
I made like 40 screenshots and groupe them all in folders and i can look at ranges while playing - it takes just seconds. Take a look:
Does it make sense? I know some people say that you should play tight at micros because of huge rake, and others say that you should play loose like 30/20 because you have advantage postflop and you can beat rake easily.
I know that with ranges from PIO villains cannot exploit me but i also want to max my EV.

Ok, bankroll is now bigger than 3000$ so i started nl50 even though i didnt reach 5bb/100 in ev in past 50k hands. How i feel about nl50? Its much the same as nl25. Not a big difference. It makes sense because if someone plays good then he plays higher stakes :) Hope to take shots at nl100 this year. Need 6k USD or 5k if i feel im ready for it :)

First i need to beat rake which is 7bb/100 at nl25. Very high in my opinion. After beating rake i earn some money. I miss the old days when i had supernova and something like 40-50% rakeback. Actually they increased rake so much and games are tougher so i doubt theres too much sense in studying poker all day . I can use this time to master some other fields which have better perspectives.
Oct. 22, 2019 | 7:49 p.m.
Ok, so after 115k hands it looks like this:
2.35 bb/100 Poor winrate even nowadays, right?
I recieved another 400$ bonus from Stars and with that my bankroll is now around 2750 $ big.
250$ more to shot nl50 but idk if i will.
Any ideas on what to work to destroy these games? Years has passed and poker is changed now. I know about range betting.
Oct. 19, 2019 | 5:13 p.m.
So September was disappointing (it may be slightly different since HM still doesnt support cashout hands from PokerStars)-:
Ive made lots of mistakes. These which im aware of:
- calling too wild underbluffed line hoping to see a bluff
- not bluffing good spots thinking that villain will call me anyway with 2nd or even 3rd pair
- playing while cannot focus
After each 1h session i have like 40-60 marked hands. This shows how many spots i have not figured out it. Bought pio and work on some simple spots like 3bet Co vs UTG. I know that everyone recommends to focus on most common spots like BB vs BTN but my computer is bit too old and its impossible for me to run sim with more than 1 sizing on each street BB vs BTN SRP.
Also ive bought video course which dissapointed me very much. Basically it looks like this:
coach opens PIO, run sim and start talking "we should raise sometimes XX, and call YY, villain should sometimes 3bet ZZ but also fold it". Really? I can do it by myself. I wanna know why this happens, what will change after removing some hands from villain range, how big impact it will have, what if villain is more passive, more aggro? If he doesnt fold draws, how should we play vs him?
I dont have enough sample size on villains so locking strategy in PIO makes no sense. I do it only for training purpose. I really enjoy it.
Goals for this month and next untill year is over are to get to nl50/100 asap. I need 60 buy ins to take shot, and go back after losing 5.
I will move up only if i have 5bb/100 EV in previouse 50k hands. Nothing below 5bb/100 will satisfy me.
What i think about nl25 nowadays? It's damn tight. Really.
