Jam, you dont wanna 3 bet fold and jamming will maximize your fold equity vs the players left to act who maybe ponder a call with some Ax and pairs

yeah huge mistake not raising flop. At that time i dont know why i felt id get more value by letting the SB come along and call but definitely took the wrong line there.

Quite tight image. Just won a decent pot (5 way all in) busted 3 guys and started to play a bit more wide, not too bad though. Then a friend of one of the bustos sits down at the table with 10k. He just busted a guy with 35s after he 4 bet jammed and broke AA, was also his first hand. So hes a LAG. Few hands later her changes seat and sits directly to my right.

being that he is so aggressive vs checks i think it is best to check call there and call him down on good turns and rivers. you can represent some draws and even value hands but imo its best to check call there and keep his range wide. If the board continues to get wet you can just check fold. i think its best to just let the aggressive player to keep betting into you when you appear weak.

I agree that preflop is not a 4 bet because youre not doing so well against a 5 bet and he is raising you in EP after your open UTG. Flop check call is fine. On the turn theres merit to check calling to keep all his bluffs in, but a definitely like the check/jam because of the board and SPR. On the flop theres no reason to check raise because he folds out all of his bluffs.

Post | Kid_Scratch2 posted in Chatter: My Future.

Hey guys whats up. i dont really think this is going to be the typical Poker Journal you see here but im just doing it for myself and to look back upon when i achieve all these things Im going to list. My name is Andrew, im from South texas and im currently 17 years old with huge dreams, aspirations, and beliefs that i strongly work for. Being my age its pretty hard because i can only play in poker rooms illegally and home games. I believe in myself more than ever and i just think this is another way to put out the word and spread that law of attraction.

Over the past two years now, ive been playing no limit holdem which started with a few friends for fun. However up until last year i started taking it a lot more serious and really do have a passion for the game. My life consist of going to school, playing in a soccer club, hanging out with family and gf and playing and studying poker. When it comes to playing poker, im always the young kid, im a winning reg at a poker room in my town at .25/.50 and working on a bankroll to start playing 1/2 and becoming a winning player at that limit. i play around 3 times a week and study on weekends. I have an essential pro account, im all over youtube when it comes to poker content, ive attented and continue to attend many Jonathan Little webinars, im in a poker study group, and have a few close older friends i get to talk poker with. Now although i do want to continue to go to school and attend college, i do know i can follow my passion and become the professional great tourney and cash poker player im capable of becoming. When it comes to tourneys or cash; although i 95% of the time play cash, when i become professional i want to be a tourney grinder and reach a bankroll to play the biggest tournaments out there. For something to come true its not all about putting in the work which many of us do, it all starts with the belief that you can do anything you strive to do and the courage to put that word out there and let all the people doubt you so it can feel so much better when you prove the wrong.

The reason im posting this is not to get feedback (which i wont mind. negative or positive) im posting this to from time and time come back to this post and be able to know im achieving some of the things on the list, check them off, and will achieve the rest in the future. So here it is.

  1. Continue to be a .25/.50 winning player.
  2. By the time i graduate transition into a 1/2 player and be a winning reg their.
  3. Play tournaments when i can and ship them
  4. Continue my disciplined bankroll management
  5. Grow my bankroll
  6. Stay with the same girl im with right now who is the biggest support
  7. Continue to be healthy and for my parents and brother to continue to be healthy as well.
  8. When i turn 21 i will take trips to Vegas and take shots.
  9. When i turn 21, i will play some Wsop circuit events.
  10. I'll win a ring before i turn 22.
  11. Before i turn 25, i will have spent 3 summers playing in Vegas.
  12. Before i turn 25, i will have at least three bracelets.
  13. Before i turn 25, i will have at least one pokerstars spade.
  14. in 2022, i will ship the WSOP Main Event.
    No doubt about that one^^
  15. Around the age of 25 i will marry the girl in my life who ive been with a long time.

There are many more which i will continue to add, these are some off the top of my head right now that are forsures.

1/2 live. I have AcKs utg 80 effective and raise to 8. Folds to loose btn that calls and bb 300 effective loose aggro calls. Flop comes 10c8d5c. BB leads 10. I call because i know from history he'll lead when someone opens and no ace nor face card comes out. Btn fold. Turn is a 2c. He leads 9, and i shipped wanting him to fold a pair, mostly a 8 or 5. Is my shove good here being that i have equity for the nut flush if he calls ahead? He shows 8h6d and the river bricks out

.25/.50 live. We're around 50 hands in. I have $50 effective villain around $45. I have a tight aggro image and villain too. other villain who folds flop is really loose and splashy. Im utg and have AJss, i raise to $2.25. utg +1 3bets to 8.75 and on the cutoff is the splashy player and calls. i call and we see a flop. flop comes Ad7h4s. i check villain bets 17, cutoff folds and i call. turn is a total brick 2c. i check and he checks behind. At this point i put him on A10+ (i block AJ) and more on queens and kings because of the check. River comes a Jd. whats the correct play. Try to x/raise? or lead and shove?
