So I find it difficult to play the river especially.
So flop is easy 4bet ( I should have 4bet a bit higher to 24bb/25bb preflop), pot I check although the most standard play would have just to be betting myself for 1/4.
As played what do I do on the river as the turn goes check/check and I underrep my hand? I just hope he bluffs off AK? As im not sure if we would bet the river with AQ and I block AQ a bit as well. just a fold on river? but I get the feeling im playing too tight when checkfolding or this is just a never a bluff spot from villain IP even with AKo combo's?

Anybody thinks this is just a standard river call?

Hey Alexandra thank you for this interesting video with new information for me. I am wondering when you are analyzing the hand for example min 37, flop Q85 and turn 3 GTO wizard says overbet is the correct sizing for this spot and do it 48% of the time.

What do you do, do you try to memorize this or do you try to memorize this spot with the hands you play for example KQ you need to bet much more often then KJo and KJo more then K10o etc..and try to understand that concept instead of the exact % and combo's.

Today and Yesterday I played 3809 hands and made + $117,64 I played B Game for most of the time and still feel I need to adjust to the 25NL Pool, I will update by the end of next week and my goal is to play 20k to 25k hands, busy social week so let's see if I stick to the hands by playing every night a few hours.

Post | LaMenteMaestra posted in Chatter: road from 25NL to 200NL

Hi,

I'm journaling just to keep myself accountable for the next year, just putting my thoughts in this thread (weekly) and see how it will progress.
I am starting out with $1000 on 25NL and move up to 50NL with $2000 and 100NL with $5000+.

For now I will play around 20 hours per week I have a fulltime job aswell so 20 hours with studying around 5 hours per week is doable.[[
I truly believe 200NL is achievable for anybody just need to study and progress will be there.
I am from The Netherlands and if there are any other players who want to study and are playing 25NL or 50NL/100NL feel free.

I have played between 2NL and 100NL but 5 or 10 hours per week and sometimes months have past by without playing any hand so nothing consistent.

I will start playing Rush and cash but might be switching too regular tables but for now Rush&Cash.

I will update every week and the goal is too reach 200NL in 1 year so June 3rd 2024!

Let's start!

thank you for your large reply I do agree mostly I do normally bet this hand but vs unknowns I check too often on this board around 30%, I agree I need to bet much more often if not always on 50NL.

yeah i'm doubting myself these days but you are correct not thinking rationally maths wise :(

SO i'm playing against an unkown reg, mostly I cbet this board but I want to have some good flushdraws as an calling range as well so this time I check called flop/turn is the river shove correct? i'm assuming a cooler against a straightflush? not sure and doubting myself as I am loosing a lot on river 3bet spots OOP at the moment.

okey thank you RaoulFlush, without any reads like wtsf and wwsf etc I always have some doubts but 25NL the pool is so big to have any meaningful data.
yes we should with higher flushes as well and I do not 3bet 66 a lot buy was still tough to fold.

I have no reads on villain, seems to be a regular but no postflop stats yet, what do we do on the river? easy fold vs higher flush?
It is 25NL in the end so I folded but not sure about my fold on the river with my 6 high flush.

April 28, 2021 | 9:13 a.m.

yeah I think so too, in the end regular is a good player so not sure but I can try at least with this combo, river is a bit difficult but I think when I bet turn I need to bet river as well to try to make him fold any PP.

April 18, 2021 | 1:16 p.m.

I think I like bet bet bet more then check call because what do we do on the turn ? with 8 high if villain keeps betting?

April 17, 2021 | 9:45 p.m.

yeh high frequency well I had 10 hands on villain now 300 he seems to be a good regular so I did not had that read beforehand but I still think I would 3barrel against this player in this case he had a set of 22 but did not think he would call that combo BTN vs BB but seems to be a very loose player

April 17, 2021 | 9:44 p.m.

ah okee thanks yeah not sure on river but if i check I lose the hand 100% OOP with this combo and I do not 3bet this always (sometimes call preflop)

So I 3bet this hand in frequency I have no 15 hands on villain and seems to be a regular in the pool
I bet flop and try to barrel the turn aggro to try to make a straight or fold out hands like pocket pairs and hands like 10J is the river shove good? and when do we shove? if we check we always loose the hand and we have good unblockers for I mostly think villain will have pocket pairs in his call flop/turn range.

so flop (no reads only know it is reg) I could raise vs his bet but this time I elected to just call on the turn villain checks , normally I check back but i'm trying to bet more aggressive on certain spots and not just give a freecard as any Ax Kx will not be good for my range do I check this back? villain will shove AA,KK,QQ vs my bet I block both flusdaws what do we do against the shove?

So I 3bet KK for value of course bet flop bet turn to get value from lower overpairs or any draws easy fold on turn? Or can villain do this with JJ/QQ? he can have any set, some 2 pair 78 and some combo draws some of the time what to do? player seems to be a regular

April 2, 2021 | 7:17 p.m.

yeah I made a sigh call he had KQ but was not sure if the call was correct on the river because of all the J10 combos

So in this case i'm playing against an unkown not even sure if it is a reg or recreational but seems to be a reg looking at his raise size so I call the flop/ turn he only bets 1/2 pot but on the river he bets 2/3 again what do we do? shove? just call vs his J10? which are a lot of combo's?
Hands I win again are KQ and I win against his bluffs on river but 50NL seems nitty with bluffing rivers.

April 1, 2021 | 8:58 p.m.

that's for your answer GTO Warrior well 89s and 910s are the only hands I 3bet from the BB vs CO well I mix them mostly call, but 3bet them sometimes as well, that's why i'm sure have trouble postflop with this hand, wow didn't know snowie was not 3betting any suited connectors im always thinking I 3bet way too less suites connectors guess not!

March 30, 2021 | 12:48 p.m.

yeah Didn't know what to do, so nex time 1/2 pot and will give up on turns and sometimes the reg might checkback as well on the turn but no read on villain.

March 30, 2021 | 8:18 a.m.

would you checkcall this flop OOP? or cbet 1/2 pot and then 1/2 to 2/3 on turn again? offcourse no 2 but a higher card then a 10

so villain is play 28/20 and calling a lot in the BB so now villain raises the turn only repping quads or an overpair so turn call is quiet easy but what do we do on the river? Does he ever raise with JJ which he did not 3bet? I sighh called but are we too nitty by folding river? I only have 70 hands on villain wanted to fold but called not sure at all.

I did check the turn but then again it was a 3way pot which makes everything a bit stronger will he do this with for example KQs? or is this a easy call without any read?
I would assume he would call the raise with any Ax or flush? but do not know what to do on this river vs the minbackraise.
