I really love this kind of video so many thanks!

Is it bad to fold pre vs the 3 bet? I don't really want to go balls to the wall with 6 high.

Nov. 22, 2019 | 4:41 p.m.

Hi at 5:10 against the maniac top right, if you had bricked the river would you still have called his shove with your ace high based on him being crazy or fold?

Jan. 27, 2018 | 11:18 p.m.

Hi at 31 mins top right QQ, I would have bet the flop. Would I have been wrong to do so and why is a check better?

Also in the same hand, you said if you had AK you would have checked the turn but again I would have bet. I think I get confused as to when a check is in order.

Jan. 7, 2018 | 1:52 p.m.

Hi is the 88 a fold because of the bet size? Would you call a 3x bet in this situation?

June 5, 2017 | 3:32 p.m.

Makes sense, Full ring aka Nitring

I would be lost without the insights you provide on my posts.

April 10, 2016 | 11:26 p.m.

Thanks for you input appreciated. I do think this is a very standard defend from the BTN and I would be defending worse. What stakes do you play? Could just be a really nitty game you're in but I'd look at your BTN range and see what % you're folding,

I recently came back to cash after about 6 months playing exclusively tournaments and I only play 10nl full ring on 888. At those tables, the vast majority only 3 bet with premium hands JJ+ and AK. In the past I lost a fair amount of money calling 3 bets with precisely hands like KJ thinking I was being 3 bet light. I hardly ever was. It's just not a thing at these stakes.

Also, I believe in general that calling a 3 bet is a weak play in many circumstances. You go into the flop on the back foot, in this case with a pretty rough hand. Certainly at my stakes I would only be 4 betting or folding.

April 10, 2016 | 9:48 p.m.

For me I fold pre. KJ isn't that good and we have no evidence that V is 3 betting light. The fact that the 3 bet is small probably means he wants to keep you in. If you just call as you did, he gets to barrell you off your hand and its not a good enough hand to 4 bet. So I fold.

April 9, 2016 | 2:21 p.m.

Thanks I agree with you, especially about the c bet. I think I should have folded pre as 44 from UTG +1 seems pretty loose in hindsight?

April 8, 2016 | 11:54 p.m.

lol come on man the word that you are butchering is spelt right above you. Out of all the hands posted on here of people asking for help with what they did wrong, why do you feel the need to ask me if I am sure I can take it? Do you only post hands for pats on the back?

April 8, 2016 | 11:36 p.m.

Against this guys range he only has a full house on the river about 4% of the time. I felt a shove was good but maybe this was greedy? I have only recently started playing cash again after a while playing tournaments and I worry I am still in the MTT mindset of shoving more often than I should in cash.

Cannot get the hand history to work. I am mainly concerned with my turn shove but any other criticism would be appreciated too.

I don't understand this. I play 888 full time and have played there for over a year and never found a 50bb table.

April 7, 2016 | 12:21 p.m.

Sorry my comment was directed at the analysis by Kuduku. Very good post but 10nl players rarely play with logic.

Jan. 16, 2016 | 3:04 p.m.

Only reason I was wondering is because I feared a set over set situation. I found it hard to believe two pretty competent looking players would call my all in with only a pair and a draw. I was pleasantly surprised that I got it in good though.

Jan. 14, 2016 | 3:12 p.m.

3 bet pre, call flop like you did, check turn like you did and probably call river. I usually have a general rule that I will not risk my whole stack with a pair but the way the villain played this makes me think he could easily have TT - JJ or something around that range that wants you out of the pot. I think AA or KK may value bet the river smaller to get paid off.

Comment | LeeroyJenkins commented on SB vs BU 3b pot

Yes I am folding pre. That hand is trash.

Jan. 14, 2016 | 2:46 p.m.

I like most of what you said but you do realise at 10nl most people are just scratching themselves and hitting buttons? I would be surprised if even 10% of 10nl players know what a bluff catcher is and they certainly do not notice unbalanced ranges. I think you are taking 200nl reasoning and applying it to drunk guys coming over from the site casino.

Recent hand on True Poker which does not seem supported by the hand history tool so apologies:
Both players at showdown seemed decent over a 50 hand sample size. dmatt had 4/2 and italladds up had 24/18

I would call down as I think its very likely he has a king high flush. Quads would only be 1 possible hand and a set you beat. No way I could fold this.

Great video and I have been able to make several adjustments to my own strategy based on this too. I had almost the exact same leaks.

Why are you bluffing anything? You have a full house.

Dec. 21, 2015 | 2:07 p.m.

Hi do you think when playing at the micro limits that a player should tighten his squeezing frequency due to many players not folding? I have been consciously working on increasing my squeezes at 10nl with some success, but the sample size is very limited as I do not feel comfortable in many spots.

Dec. 20, 2015 | 3:12 p.m.

It was even worse - he cold called 22 lol.

Hi I have tried using the hand converter for the last 30 minutes without success so sorry if the following is not in the correct format.

Villain is a 22/12/2 over 3k hands with a 3 bet of 5. He has history for raising the flop c bet with an overpair or less and playing aggressively in random spots.

Was I right to shove the flop? Could I have found a fold? Is there some secret way to post an 888 hand history?

I would also call as most of the time villain will show up with a pair or complete bluff.

A really great video. I mainly play cash and most of this is gold for cash players as well.
