What do you think about his decision to not bet KK on the river there? You mention that he might be worried about a x/r on the turn, but after no turn x/r, your river x/r value range is probably only full houses?

Thanks

I know that you are working through some bugs with this, but I am really impressed with the new layout. Great work!

Don't update it. You can roll it back to that version if you accidentally do.

If the game you're taking a shot at is softer than the current games you're playing in (i.e. weekend games), then it would make sense jump into that instead of playing your current game that you're breaking even in. Winning, losing, or breaking even are better indicators of how you're running than how you're playing.

Winrates are silly things. Move up when you're rolled well enough to take a shot at a game you think that you have an edge in. There's no magic Xbb/100 formula that will tell you this.

I watched some of the final table. Was very exciting and congrats on the ship!

http://www.devra.eu/p/poker-variance-calculator.html I'm not sure if the math behind it is the same, but it seems fairly reasonable.

I think that they were referring to the overall series as being a lot of money, and he needed to finish high in this SNG in order to stay alive for the series.

Felting = willing to get all in. If you happen to lose you'll get felted, but you still think it's the correct play.

He x/c'd this turn?

I'll be playing the 1500 today. I'll stop by the lounge at some point, but not sure where it is yet.

Just try to imagine what kind of crazy work would be required on the backend of the software to keep track of all the cashouts, and some complicated algorithm to induce the post cashout runbad, vs just dealing the cards randomly.

This thread is silly. There is no cashout curse.

Absolutely.

I chose not to raise the flop in order to keep in the HJ. If he had not been in the pot, or was a more normal opponent, I think I'd raise the flop. Not sure how good/bad that is?

Hand History | Likeclockwork posted in NLHE: NL600 River value bet?
CO: 1293.26
BN: 1624.03 (Hero)
SB: 632.16
BB: 772.63
UTG: 600
HJ: 716.12
CO is a reg with something like 28/20/12 stats. He seems to be newer to these stakes might be taking a shot.
HJ is very weak passive
Preflop (9) (6 Players)
Hero was dealt 7 9
UTG folds, HJ calls 6, CO raises to 24, Hero calls 24, SB folds, BB folds, HJ calls 18
Flop (81) K 7 9 (3 Players)
HJ checks, CO bets 48, Hero calls 48, HJ folds
Turn (177) 3 (2 Players)
CO checks, Hero bets 126, CO calls 126
River (429) J (2 Players)
CO checks, Hero bets 258
I think that he probably doesn't have too much of a river check calling range on this exact card. I end up betting smaller as a result with my range, but I'm not sure if there are that many worse hands that he'll still call with. Thoughts?

I used a Macbook Pro for about 4 years, it worked great for poker and I really enjoyed OSX. However, when the battery on it kept dying on me after a while I figured it was time to eventually get something new. I ended up going back to windows, Win8 took a little getting used to. But it's just so much easier for poker stuff instead of having to run vmware/parallels/bootcamp or hope that the mac versions of the software all work together. There are a good number of ultrabooks out there that weren't super expensive, but still powerful, and portable. 5 years ago that wasn't really the case except for the Macs (still kinda pricey).

Interesting. I've gotten a chance to play around with it now for a little.

Login is only username, vs the site which is email/username. The "ringer" switch mutes audio, which isn't really a big deal, but but other common video playing apps don't do that.

I wish that I could dl more than 2 videos at a time. I also wish that I could resume at the same spot that I stopped at if the app closes.

Overall though, I enjoy it!
