Hey RIO.
I signed up for Bovada in May of 2013 looking to get back into poker. Since then, over 3 years now, I have deposited 34k total and I have taken out 43k total.
I don't play full time or for a living, but I enjoy the grind as a hobby etc.
Any thoughts on these numbers? Obviously I am up but any thoughts/input etc would be great.
How is the rest of RIO doing on Bovada?

Hello RIO,
Im back on the grind, playing live at a well established indian casino playing 2-5 cash cap buy in $500.
I sat down at table with max buy $500, and when i sat down a reg invited us to all play a "button straddle" game which included a refund to the button depending on how big the pot was at the end of the hand. The game included last action pre flop to the straddle no matter what.
ie.
Blinds are posted.
Button straddles for 15$ (amount of straddle depends on player, i saw 10$ up to 65$)
button straddle get last action no matter what pre-flop ( i believe its different than a Mississippi straddle)
all action presumes normally.
the pot now must reach 150$ for the straddle to get his refund back ( if the straddle was 40$ pot needs to be 400$, basically he gets 10% for refund so on and so forth)
if the straddle wins- no refund obviously
The game was friendly and players were poor to ok in skill. We started the game so no one was more than 500$ deep.
What are your thoughts on this game? How does it play? Strats or ideas?
I played for 10 hours and I made 145$ very quiet night for me but i was very comfortable in the game.

Hey RIO,
Ive been playing decent amounts on Zone lately, any suggestions on playing most or all spots in a vacuum?
I seem to have a decent strategy and play a somewhat of a low variance style, normally getting it in good and rarely bluffing. I do however want to get better so I thought I would ask RIO for some theory or trends or ideas etc.
If anybody has thoughts let me know.

ive found cheap basic rooms at imperial palace and hooters too. but circus c is the better room. gl

maybe try circus circus rooms are always around 50$ for the promos they run. unless everything is hiked up for the series etc

clockwork if i don't change my play and strategy all that much, am i just running extremely bad? it seems like i am thinking hard during my sessions and donks are getting in it bad and still beating me, i understand we all run bad and it can take months to get out of the slump. i feel like villians are sucking out way too often then i do vs them. am i too tight? am i just bitching?

sounds like i play the same games 6 max up to 1000nl and HU PLO only. but if i could isolateand graph the 1000-2000 hands after i withdraw for example, i could almost prove my run bad and cold deck only happen after withdrawal. interesting and very frustating...thanks for the response and GL

Is there a program that tracks Bovada stats so I can start making graphs?
I especially want to look at my play after I cashout...I seem to cashout 1k or 2k and then absolutely get murdered with a bad run afterwards. I've noticed on some internet forums, kids are saying you get extremely bad luck after cashing out, however I refuse to buy in to this idea. It just seems like and excuse but my overall play/strategy doesn't change and I seem to "get it in great," but I constantly get crushed after cashing out.
Is there a program that will let me graph hands and the i can isolate and compare my hands after I cashout?

ok im in california. also i called the support team and they said 5k max for western union but thru the actual poker program it says 2k. who knows. also be careful because some western union spots wont have 2k-5k in their vault to give you so i like to call ahead of time beforehand. one time i went to 4 diff. western union locations lol

I just made a MoneyGram (Rapid Transfer) payout last night at 11:22pm PT, received a confirmation email immediately after and then received a "confirmed" email at apx. 6 am PT and by 11:43 am PT the following morning I received the MoneyGram Reference number to pick up my max cash out request. Not even 24 hours!!!
I have used Western Union payout before also very quick, about 2-4 days but opted for MoneyGram this time.
Hope this helps if anyone questions Bovada payouts. Also I'm obvs strictly USA player as of now.

I understand what Wade is stating I am an artist and after smoking I can paint for a long period of time. I also since alcohol makes you more agrressive than smoking. Huge diff IMO. Thanks for the feedback.
