Thanks for the reply Steve.

Why bigger preflop? Due to being out of pos.?

Why smaller on the flop?
I am currently going through Pete Clarke's From The Ground Up in which he advocates c-betting value hands and bluffs / semi bluffs the following way.

1) Un-selected c-betting (frequent betting (all hands in range) with small size (1/3 pot ish) on high / dry flops.

2) Selected c-betting (betting selectively (strong value hands) with a bigger size (2/3 - full pot) on wet board where Villian is more like to have equalized our initial range advantage.

SO I bet this hand according to bullet 2 considering it a strong value hand on a wet (or at least not dry) board and thus go for 60% pot bet ish.

Is there a mistake in my application of these concepts here or?

Thanks for your reply Steve.

Yeah the river bet was pretty bad . . I didn't stop to think as I had pretty much decided on the line already on the turn.

I have a really good hand and what to extract the max. Check raising a blank turn just shows super strength imo. so I am worried that Villian will fold worse holdings more often then if check called and then face a good sized river bet (which could be me bluffing with a hand that did not get there but has to little SDV) and this will also allow Villian to catch up some and thus having to pay off (allthough looking at the hand as i write this I cannot find TO many possible holdings for Villian that he would double barrel with AND that I would like to catch up). Maybe some weak Qxs making 2 pair but probably not to many over card combos would fire the 2nd barrel in pos.

What do you think?

Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 (6 Players) MP: $28.41
CO: $25.20
BN: $29.95
SB: $27.19
BB: $21.24 (Hero)
UTG: $25.53
No reads but Hero IS NOT BB, but SB.
Preflop ($0.35) Hero is BB with Q A
2 folds, BN raises to $0.75, Hero raises to $2.25, UTG folds, BN calls $1.50
This seems pretty std. even OOP.
Flop ($4.75) 8 A 7
Hero bets $2.75, BN raises to $7.77, Hero calls $5.02
I choose to c-bet for value (little to the low side sizing wise maybe). BUT how often am I still in front here when getting raised?! A9, AT, AJ (but would these be raised)? Since I hold the Ad how many flush draws would raise? Would any pairs in villians range raise? The more I look at this hands it looks like I am behind enough to most of the time take a Call, Check/Fold line? I dont think I can fold right here ever though?
Turn ($20.29) 8 A 7 T
Hero bets $11.22 and is all in, BN calls $11.22
This looks stupid after the fact! Zero fold EQ on that turn card after the current flop action. In hindsight I would have checked and when I think about it, probably should fold to bet, OR?
River ($42.73) 8 A 7 T 5
Final Pot BN wins and shows two pair, Aces and Eights.
BB lost and shows a pair of Aces.
BN wins $40.81
Rake is $1.92

Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 (6 Players) CO: $29.30
BN: $25.00
SB: $25.00
BB: $26.05
UTG: $20.94 (Hero)
MP: $32.13
MP is passive and limps quite a lot with both foldable holdings and bottom range raiseable holdings. Hero IT NOT UTG, but BB!!
Preflop ($0.35) Hero is UTG with 4 K
MP calls $0.25, 3 folds, Hero checks
Flop ($0.60) 4 Q 4
Hero checks, MP bets $0.57, Hero calls $0.57
Turn ($1.74) 4 Q 4 5
Hero checks, MP bets $1.66, Hero calls $1.66
River ($5.06) 4 Q 4 5 Q
Hero bets $4.75, MP raises to $9.50, Hero calls $4.75
Final Pot MP wins and shows a full house, Queens full of Fours.
MP wins $22.98
Rake is $1.08
