Ha, I wondered. Glad I wasn't the only one though. I'm assuming you had same confusion with QJ8 hand too ??

Hey Peter! Super confused right out of the gate. At 3:20 on boards like T63cc aren't we supposed to be betting unselectively, and therefore smaller? That was one of my primary takeaways after going through the ground up course and this seems to be the complete opposite advice ?

And then again at 24:40, it seems like the opposite happens, and you recommend betting small on QJ8mono when that would seem like a time we'd want to be going large/polar???

I absolutely loved the course and went through it multiple times, did I misinterpret that portion somehow??

Thank you !

Thanks for response!

Only question, isn't betting polar AND small an opposing concept?

I thought when we're going polar we usually want to be using larger sizes.

Unless you meant smaller as in ~50% not 30% in which case never mind.

Post | Supernova5 posted in Courses Forum: Range betting in multi way pots?

Sorry if this was covered and I'm somehow spacing, but I couldn't find it after going over the course again.

What should our general strat be for range betting in multi way pots? Is generally the same or different?

Thanks !

First of all, huge shout out to peter for the amazing course, I've gone through the whole thing nearly twice in five days. I would have killed for this sooner.

Anyway, one of the big topics that was new to me was the selective vs unselective betting strat, and even though there's six examples for each in the course, I still have trouble identifying when I should be using it in game on a lot of boards. Even after watching a decent amount of live play videos i'm still confused quite a bit on when I should be using it.

Is there a way to practice identifying this easily so I know i'm using it correctly??

Thanks !
