1/2 of your posts on RIO are in this blog to bash Nick and his program. Why is that?

There is complete transparency over how the CFP program works. It's really up to the player to decide if its worth it. Clearly it's not for you...

The balanced range has more robust equity with its bluffs on the flop with two cards left to come whereas on the river it does not.

How would you instruct a player to start in learning/correcting the 1st form?

Very cool. Nick, are you planning on having set hours of when you're going to stream?

NL200 Anonymous (110 BB deep)

Fairly new to table, no reads on villain besides full stacked. As a default is this a spot we should be barreling 100% with AQ? Would you consider checking here?

I think villains range to turn is something close to this: he could have 88 not sure, JJ-99, AJss, AJdd, KQ,KJdd, KJss, QJs, JTs, T9ss, T9dd?

2 folds, CO raises to $6, Btn folds, Hero raises Ah Qh to $19, BB folds, CO Calls

Flop ($40): Qs 8d 3s
Hero bets $23, CO Calls.

Turn ($86) : Jc
Hero ?

10/20 6 Max. (4 handed)

This game doesn't run often on this site. Villain is a weaker reg who I don't play with often. The 8 or so orbits we had played so far villain standard open was $60. At this point he was playing pretty straightforward and not being too aggressive.  I am very unclear of what his is 3b defending range is here being this deep.

Do you like the line I took here up to the river? Is the river a call or a shove?

165bb Effective.

Co folds, Btn raises to $70, Hero raises AA to $210, BB folds, Btn calls.

Flop (Pot: $440): 8c 7d 6s. Hero checks, Btn checks.

Turn (Pot $440): 8h. Hero Checks, Btn bets $280, Hero Calls.

River (Pot $1000): 8d Hero Checks, Btn bets $800, Hero?

Bovada NL200 6 Max.

CO is likely a recreational player. Only has $140 to start the hand. Anonymous tables so no reads on villain. The river is set up for slightly small than pot size shove. Is this river an easy shove or thoughts on how this hand should be played differently.

Hero raises $6 w. Kc Kd. CO calls, Btn folds, SB calls, BB folds.

Flop (Pot: $20): Qs Jc 9s. SB checks, Hero bets $14.00, CO calls, SB folds.

Turn (Pot: $48): 9h. Hero bets $30. CO Calls.

River (Pot: $108): 6d Hero?

I'm not sure we should assume he'd 3b all AK/AQ from the BTN with aggro fish in blinds...right?

Chael,

It seems like checking some AK or KQ with a spade and a few combos of sets would be good exploitatively versus this opponent. Especially when we're williing to call it off here w. QQ, no?

Shit i misread OP. Thought the reg flatted the 4b not the fish....

Jan. 15, 2013 | 6:31 p.m.

I guess I meant to say I'd rather play 3 way 3b pot w. a Fish OOP vs a 4b pot OOP 150bb deep w. a seemingly decent req w. QQ. Most of our profit is going to be coming from the fish as we all know.

Jan. 15, 2013 | 2:44 p.m.

yea, you want to exploit players when they are not playing optimal (ie, 90% FT3b). You don't need to worry that you're playing exploitative because this player type is not looking to adjust

I think flatting pre flop is the best play. It doesn't seem like we really have a great idea of btn's 4b flatting range here and I'd rather keep the fish in the pot.

Again without any stats I'm really hesitant to play a 4b pot OOP 150bb deep w. QQ. We are put in a lot of difficult situations and the btn really has control over the hand. Are you really happy to call down here w. QQ? What are you expecting opponent to show up with enough of the time to make this profitable?
