Hey there! I am looking for a monker solver study partner to work with. Main requirements are:
you have enjoy studying the game more than actually playing it. As for stakes I would say plo200 would be the starting point.

I don't mind folding flop, i just don't think its a big mistake to call OTF anyway.

Turn is a c/c for me since 4 improves his range/ weakens yours. As played fold turn since u dont have enough equity to call. River looks like a spew. He shouldnt fold his str8 with busted FD on board and he probably blocks some 5 combos.

March 17, 2014 | 8:21 a.m.

3way it is an easy fold OTT. In HU id call turn/fold river even 3:1 since he never has bluff on a board with this kind of structure.

March 17, 2014 | 8:13 a.m.

If you assume he has only sets in his range and no bluffs you won't be exploited by calling since you have enough equity to call his raise. If he has wide raising range you can check call almost any unpaired turn. I doubt unknown villain will try to exploit your b/c range OTF without any reads.

March 16, 2014 | 11:18 a.m.

Easy fold, unless he is a maniac.

March 16, 2014 | 10:06 a.m.

Betting flop is a mistake we have like 21% equity against their range. OTT you still have smth like 50% agaisnt 32% range so id rather take a free card.

March 16, 2014 | 10:05 a.m.

I call flop/turn if he is aggressive postflop. Otherwise its a sigh peel OTF and fold OTT since he has it around 15% of times.

March 16, 2014 | 9:34 a.m.

Good job. But can you please specify villains calling range OTF using syntax

March 16, 2014 | 9:27 a.m.

8 is the worst card in the deck for you and his sizing polarizes him towards str8/total air. He shouldn't have 2pairs with that sizing. Thus, your aces are drawing dead and you have naked flush draw. x/f is the right play here.

Can PJ break down equities for different parts of his range? I mean how do you know he has 20%?

March 15, 2014 | 6:53 a.m.

+1 for jam unless turn is 9 or J

March 15, 2014 | 6:39 a.m.

What range u assign to him?

March 15, 2014 | 6:24 a.m.

I guess its a fold against unknown. He needs to actually bluff around 65% of his blocker hands like 55/44 which seems a lot.

March 15, 2014 | 4:42 a.m.

Seems like an easy check. Bet vs missed cbet stat and aggression frequency will help you decide how to play against the fish. Plus you block 9T combos.

March 15, 2014 | 12:25 a.m.

I have redone calcs using the same ranges and that's whats i got (dunno what i missed previously) . And my ranges are fine imo. 34 combos must connect with the flop and his preflop play.

actually we need 43% to stack off OTF ( i didnt see he was under 100bb pre) so x/r is not a mistake.

both x/c & x/r are fine options

March 14, 2014 | 1:57 p.m.

Unless he is 3betting/cbetting a ton we are behind his get it in range OTF

March 14, 2014 | 9:21 a.m.

I don't know if you are familiar with OO syntax but here the range i gave to BTN

AA$R$R,AA$M$M,KK$R$R,kk$M$M,QQ$ds,TTOO:xx,$R$R$R$R:xx,$M$M$M$B:xx that is somewhat tight range (4.34%) we have 43% and need to call on majority of turns.

AA$nt, KK:xx$nt, $R$R$R$R, $M$M$M$M:xx, 4567+:xx, 4578+:xx, 4678+:xx, 88OO:xx, TTOO:xx, QQ$ds if he is on a loose side and cbetting a ton we have 56% and u played fine i guess.

Sorry for OO syntax

Correct me if I'm wrong. Assuming we are going to win over 300BB 30% of time with our hand ( realizing 70% of our equity)

A bit rough calculations are:

1)-17$ 70% of flops we c/f

2) we win around 170$ 30% of times with 70% equity realization

3) (-17 x 0.7) + ((170 x 0.7)- 45$ investment) x 0.3 =  -11.9 + 22.2 = 10.3 EV

March 14, 2014 | 7:09 a.m.

Call OTF and call OTT when u have at least 35% equity

March 14, 2014 | 6:51 a.m.

betting turn is overreping yr hand at these stakes. Standard hand for yr c/calling range.

Dec. 24, 2013 | 1:04 p.m.

I understand he has weaker hands. I dont see him calling ott enough to make it profitable.

Nov. 6, 2013 | 1:24 p.m.

KQof has reversed implied odds, and his sizing is not that small to call for 2pairs +

Nov. 6, 2013 | 11:59 a.m.

What range do u assign to him? You think he calls 4 BB OOP with A6s A7s enough? these are 6 combos since we block some.... So no joking lol.

Nov. 5, 2013 | 9:17 p.m.

Id fold preflop without further info. If he is passive im folding turn
