Until he's not destroying regs any more by overbluffing. ;)
Seen it all: Got a coach, bluffed more, since population is so overfolded, then overbluffed, yet... didn't quite get it.

Nevermind...

Sorry, but that is not true.

As far as I know, GTOW tells you to open as open as Kxs in UTG.
That's fucking bullshit! Pardon my French.

But we were crushing the micros up to 100NL, and everybody found out: Wait a minute: Even suited aces are not profitable UTG! How come, a decade later and 40% more rake later, Kxs has become profitable UTG?
And after a while and a massive boost in rake nobody can say: Oh: After even more rake we can obviously play more suited aces UTG.

It's simply not true.

If you play, say, 200NL, 400NL, even higher - no problem: you can defend way wider than at 10NL where rake eats your profits at 12bb/100.

There you cannot really rely on GTOW shit.

And if I say, we were crushers, we did win at 10-12bb/100 from 25NL to 100NL. With 8bb/100 rake. At PokerStars. The by far hardest place to play.

So... to the OP: Playing tight is very right. Play even tighter. 21/19 or smth would probably be right, although I personally would be too bored. But somewhere around 21/19 would be optimal. Not the 30/25 or something, GTOW suggests.

Actually no. Because: I don't buy the premise of it.
So you are actually owning stakes, because you "know" where some population is underfolding or overbluffing?
Not enough.
It's certainly a difference between PokerStars and GGPoker and the American sites.

Thanks!

Post | __stdcay posted in NLHE: [10NL] QT off - 3bet pot

Hi,

so i was 3betting with QTo the aggressive CO. I had the Qs.

Flop:
5s 4s 2c.

I check.
Villain bet around 40%.
I call.

Turn:
Qd.
I check. Villain bets 60%. I call.

River:
Rag
I check. Villain ships. I snapcall.

What do you think?

May 26, 2025 | 9:46 p.m.

Or has this strategy been dominated? Forever?

May 22, 2025 | 10:52 p.m.

It ,might actually be a viable strategy.

May 22, 2025 | 7:38 p.m.

Which yoiu are not super-comfortable stacking off

May 22, 2025 | 7:33 p.m.

And if you include AK, QQ, JJ in your coldcalling rarnge.

May 22, 2025 | 7:31 p.m.

So coldcalling per se cannot be that bad. fI you raise like 20% on the flop.

May 22, 2025 | 7:30 p.m.

It has been said that coldcalling has been unporofitable since the rake got so high.
Well. I beat it when the rake was high.

May 22, 2025 | 7:24 p.m.

Also: When has it ever become stupid to coldcall ever?

May 22, 2025 | 7:21 p.m.

Yes, Alexandra. I'm an avid listener or watcher of your videos.
Yet, still: I don't understand why it's stupdi to cold call a cool range like 66+, AK?
Why would that be stupid?
