Hey Pokerica 52 I am reading your blog and I have a few question. I play on .it site, italian player cant play on .com. I have a huge problem with rake. I play NL10-NL20 and according to PT4 I pay 16bb/100 of rake excluding HU hands when i open the tables. Can you please give me your stats of VPIP, PFR, 3bet and foldto3bet? I think I should play a lot tighter considering the huge rake but i want to confirm my suspicion.

I am of the opposite idea, at NL2 you can have insane winrate. I was winning at like 30 bb/100 at NL2, then at NL5 I had like 12bb/100, then I thought i could bet NL10 but I played like 100k hand a little more then Break-Even. Rake is almost the same from NL2 to NL10, it begin to decrease a little at NL20.

Hey, before spending money on tracker you should try them. H2N has 30 days free trial, and I think you can use for free for microlimits without some advanced feature, but you shodnt need them on micro.

Hi Chris, very nice video. I like studying topic a lot because i always lack a rigorous method for study during school. This are a few idea that i think could be useful for other member:
1) read about the pomodoro technique and use it, i usually do 25 minute study followed by 5 minute break where i drink something, go to pee and listen song during stretching;
2) nice course on coursera is learning how to learn by Barbara Oakley, very nice insight like the recall strategy for study vs recognition;
3)usually for study preflop ranges i use ANKI + flopzilla; ANKI is a flashcard program used for study and recall;
4)the myth of creativity remember me a lot of the begginer mind theached in meditation book like Jhon kabat Zinn one.

PS: this ideas could be useful in a lot of other areas of your life beside poker.

I played at NL10 at least 100k hands and I can confirm that after switching to a strategy with no cold-call in MP, CO and BTN the rake i paid is decreased from 15bb/100 to 11 bb/100. Consider that i play on italian site with 5.5%rake.
Using a 3bet/fold (no cold-call) strategy in MP,CO and BTN will save you at least 3-5 bb/100 in rake.

Overall very nice video with a lot of interesting insight to increase your winrate.
