Such good series, can't wait for next video in series.
9:40 - 44 - Would you continue vs only btn 3bet by calling or is it too shallow and we just fold?
Sept. 25, 2024 | 7:32 a.m.
Great video Alex,
23:30 on monotone board bvb here, if people overfold to flop vs very small cbet, would you think just cbetting range small would be reasonable exploit strategy vs most players or would it be pushing too far?
Seems like if fold freq. went from 5% to even 10-15% there should be some bigger adjustments, at what opponent fold freq. vs 10% bet do you think it becomes range cbet 10% as good strategy?
Sept. 20, 2024 | 4:10 p.m.
Nice video as always.
24:20 with T8s, K on turn seem like high card what benefits IP player much more as he have much more high card hands with Kx relative to his entire range. Can you expand bit more on why you decide to lead turn? Is it mostly because flush draw completed?
27:30 with A7o. How does your limp/raise range looking there? Is it very blocker heavy like some weak Ax like A7o and then very strong value hands and being very polar?
Sept. 17, 2024 | 5:48 a.m.
Also maybe similar video explaining ICM implications and why there is much less/more opens, flatting vs opens and 3bets forcing us playing much differently then chipev would be very interesting.
Sept. 14, 2024 | 4:17 p.m.
Hey Justin, really good video.
I am very curious of something I been trying out lot recently and always worried if overdoing it too much and it being just not good strategy/simplification.
If you look at sims below for same spot you was analyzing, just making it check range flop drops our EV only by 0.06 (Goes from original -3.21 to -3.15 when checking range) but simplify our strategy lot.
Do you think it pushing it too much to check most boards (with few exceptions) with 100% range of hands in similar situation or do you think it reasonable simplified strategy what not loses much EV?

Hey Matt,
36:50 T5 hand - Even if solver suggests to call T5 specifically on flop, is our future game consideration here? If we call and fold turn decent % times later streets we end up having 8bb where we have very little playability. While if we jam we will have much more playable stack if he folds or if he calls and we win.
43:00 KQ - Would you not want nodelock him not finding leads vs 3better? Seem like spot where players would not find any leads most of times vs 3better and I assume would effect our strategy lot as IP if there is leads or not from OOP player.
Sept. 11, 2024 | 10:25 a.m.
Great video Matt,
36:00 AQ on river, would you folded river if he decided to check/raise all-in? Or would you think opponent could find enough weaker hands to turn into bluffs?
Sept. 10, 2024 | 9:35 a.m.
Really solid video! Thanks! Would love to see 2nd part.
Sept. 6, 2024 | 6:10 a.m.
Hey, very interesting video.
6:20 AJo - Do you think it mendatory induce with AJo or do you think we can just open jam also our Axo hands there?
8:30 and 16:00 you have very similar situations but in one you call 65o and in one you fold K8o, how did you decide that 65o is better then then k8o as defend?
In general it feels other way around.
25:40 What would be lowest pair what is still call even when spot is not great?
30:10 You are saying "we are close to bubble, very high icm pressure" before TT hand.
Would jamming for max fold equty not decrease chance we bubble if we plan 3b/c anyway?
Also why are we so quick to dismiss call as option this close to bubble with bunch of short stacks around vs big stack?
41:00 Are you range betting here on flop? Would you ever consider checking with top set here to protect your checking range?
Sept. 4, 2024 | 9 a.m.
Very nice video, thank you.
7:15 A4o - are you calling off BB 9bb jam without sb in hand?
41:00 A8o - would you call river bet for most/all of your chips if villain decides bet river or do we looking for better spot and folding?

Hello,
I see Kevin Martin started great video series what I really liked, but he been missing now for 5 months with no new uploads with but with no indication it end of series in last video.
Any idea if Kevin returning to RIO soon or have Kevin decided on not continue series?
Cheers
Aug. 30, 2024 | 12:46 p.m.
Would love see Kevin returning with continue to series.
Aug. 30, 2024 | 12:41 p.m.
Really like series of important spots you been looking at recently.
Any PKO vs Regular tournaments ranges videos coming up?
Aug. 21, 2024 | 5:21 a.m.
43:20 KK - on flop, do you think checking would be also reasonable? Have seen this type player often just jamming totally random hands after we check on flop, also still can get in by river given SPR 1 if he does check back.
Aug. 16, 2024 | 7:25 a.m.
Very nice series of videos, gg to hero.
I agree that preflop heads up charts might help Hero to dial in their hu strategy.
What videos type are coming up next from you Ryan?
Aug. 15, 2024 | 9:02 a.m.
Very interesting video and insightful ideas Ivan,
Do you think in practice population not find enough mixed 3bets with middling hands like 8x/9x/55-88 ect. hands and most likely their 3bet range looks more linear with some more polar 3bet bluffs then more merged theory 3bet range meaning we can lead bet closer to range 765 type boards after calling 3bet OOP?
Aug. 14, 2024 | 6:45 a.m.
Hey Adam,
51:10 99 - You was arguing it best to just check fold flop with 99. Would you just fold also hands like JJ/TT as they seem in this flop spot similar hand strength as 99?
Aug. 13, 2024 | 7:02 a.m.
Great video Ryan, unlucky to run 99 into KK but that the game we play,
34:00 ATs - Curious that you did not run this spot, intuitively seem bit wide to go with ATs. Even with wide UTG and 1bb PKO seem bit wide to risk stack with 100% collision between utg and utg+1 and decent chance of payjump while if we jam we risk like around 15-20% times being vs dominating hand from UTG for all the ICM money.
Aug. 11, 2024 | 12:29 p.m.
Great video, blockers seem way more important here with tight ranges when deciding what hands to raise.
Maybe making video of later positions squeeze spots would be good idea so can see difference between them.
Aug. 10, 2024 | 7:06 a.m.
Really nice series, excited to see how final table goes.
Aug. 9, 2024 | 3:02 a.m.
Great video. Nice series win.
2:40 J6 Would you have any folds there on btn or would you think it any2 spot? Would you have any min raise range still there?
8:40 AJ In game in raise 3.5x looks really strong, would you in practise still 3bet bluff weak Ax/Kx?
I would be bit scared he is having bit nutted range raising 3.5x into chip leader with short stack around.
12:50 Q8s Do you think betting closer to 2/3 is option? We do lose bit more to 9x, but charge more to all his 8x/draws and if he sticky he might even call 6x.
23:05 K3o Do you think it just range bet flop? Would you think checking our weakest Kx would be also fine play on flop?
Aug. 8, 2024 | 5:15 a.m.
Hey Ryan, great video. Excited to watch final table soon.
10:00 Just note. If you allowed smaller c/r you would likely get different results most likely without any calls or much less calls, our single check/raise sizing might be limiting solver output bit what it can do vs range cbet there.
11:00 Are you not worried about our calling range becoming much weaker if we raise overpairs here?
JJ/QQ seem would get in on majority runouts anyway if we call so we seem specifically target mid pairs.
What I am also worried about with raise we also shut down all his bluffs/A high spews.
17:15 77 you are saying both players played hand pretty well, would you not think CO player after everyone checks turn+river should bet his Q high flush every time?
I would expect K/A of clubs betting from us and HJ most of the time on river and many weaker flushes still can call.
Aug. 7, 2024 | 6:16 a.m.
Nice video Ryan, looking forward to watch next part.
18:30 A4 - What sizing you are choosing if you bet river targeting what hands?
25:00 52 - What is reasoning to make it 5bb on flop only? It does give all his flush draw/streight draw correct odds. Feels like if we make it bigger flop it much easier to get in by river all chips and go for PKO.
Aug. 6, 2024 | 4:24 a.m.
Hello Ivan, great video. Maybe video for shoving and calling ranges for PKO in similar format would be good idea also.
Would you say in practice especially in lower stakes we would call off in general bit tighter then ICMizer would suggest because people will make human errors what is not included in ICMizer sims like going broke too much post after flatting or even bad limping first in ranges especially if recreational at table?
Aug. 5, 2024 | 7:22 a.m.
Nice video Ryan,
18:40 KJ - what you think if overbluffing turn vs check?
I would think population bet too much their flush and straight on turn and overfold when we bet.
29:55 88 - you are saying that you are ahead of his range there most of time when he checks turn, was wondering why you not want bet now on turn small to not give him free card and charge him while he feels more comfortable then on overcard river to pay 1 more bet?
Feels like 4x/Pocket pairs(or even actual hand K9s type hands) will just always check river and seem like not spot where he will bluff lot on river also.
Aug. 4, 2024 | 7 a.m.
Great Video Adam, looking forward to watching part 2.
28:40 - J6 -
In theory 842 seem to be almost pure check, can you expand bit more of how wide you would bet here.
Would you just range bet because how often they overfold/underraise?
39:00 - K6 -
Are you expecting Tx to fold vs Jam? I assume if we nodelocked him never folding Tx vs jam, then it would prefer jamming.
From opponent perspective sitting on Tx it kinda feels like hard fold, have to put us on exactly quads and in lower stakes opponent might still struggle to fold.
I assume as stakes/opponent skill decrease jamming becomes better option?
Aug. 3, 2024 | 6:05 a.m.
Great video Ryan, looking forward to heads up match.
13:15 AJo
I did run spot with ChipEV and ICM with everything else same.
There seem to be big difference between Final table ICM and ChipEV how we play this spot and it not anymore range small cbet here but between small and jam.
BB supposed to fold flush draws and Tx vs jam in ICM vs jam on flop, calling off basically Ax and Tx with flush draw and best combo draws only.
As of jamming range It does look like all our Brodways with no club goes in being balanced with our mid-high Ace with no club. Everything else bets small.
Aug. 1, 2024 | 7:18 a.m.
Great video Adam, very interesting heads up match.
40:36 82o - What you think of starting betting turn not waiting river there?
Given population not check enough strong hands twice there + fold enough for autoprofit right there on turn, basically not giving free card for no reason and taking pot down enough on turn to profit with all our non showdown hands.
42:30 55 - My first idea was to lead turn 6, If we check - what are our plan after to get 2+ bets in from mediocre hands? (for example his weakest 9x/medium strength draws might start going into check lines if we allow but will call to lead)
If we c/r turn it does look very strong and if we check call he can control how much money goes in on river depending river card.
We get lot money in vs top part still, only reason to check would be him turning way too many hands into barrels but I would think humans might even under bluff turn being paired if anything and rarely will overbluff there.
July 31, 2024 | 9:31 a.m.
Great video Ivan, would love to see hands in practice where we limp from non blinds if you at some point have enough sample size to make video on it.
Great video Brian,
What you think would be adjustments in spots where we 4bet small AA final table when stakes gets lower and people get weaker?
It feels like it would be to just 4bet jam more as they would likely not fold enough and stack off too many hands but even weaker player might read it being strong when we 4bet small.
Would you limit theses small 4bets only vs regs while keeping them balanced?
56:10 I noticed that when we are vs polar BTN opening range with some jams we have some flatting on SB but when there no jamming and he have linear range with no jamming we don't ever flat.
Is it because how much wider BTN bottom hands are when he is polar? Or is flatting in polar range and not when he opens linear about something else like we not getting in as much hard spots postflop when opponent have polar opening range?
