I hear conflicting information on each source! Is there any way to calculate the conversion formula for a 'displayed bounty' in a bounty builder, or progressive KO for that matter, to 'effective chips', approximately?

Thailand is great, but the hours are terrible for primetime. The best games are around midnight - 4 AM. I like Thailand and so does everyone else who moves here. The countrys laws and regulations are very fluid and you will not encounter any problems. The food is outstanding, its very affordable (even luxury is affordable), Thai girls are great fun, and being able to get $3/hour Thai massages after (or during) a rough session is invaluable. You can set up a bank account with only a tourist visa, and its easy and cheap to bounce around indefinitely in the area. The flights are cheap to and from the region, you can fly to other parts of thailand for very cheap (<$100, sometimes $~20-$30), (Phuket & Pattaya, Bangkok, and Chiang Mai). All of those regions are extremely different from one another; they even speak different dialects, have different foods, and the landscape and people are much different. Its a great place to live, but the hours are a major put-off. The political situation here, ATM, is also unstable. It usually is, however right now the military coup has official taken over the government, the most beloved poltiical figure is having health problems, which might stir up a lot of turmoil. That said, its not much different from normal and its an amazing place to live. However, I would recommend considering somewhere else for permanent living than Thailand now. The Phillipines is a total shithole 3rd world wreck, where the food is awful, the infrastructure is terrible, its much more dangerous, and uncomfortable. You will experience third world slums straight from the airport. That said, they have insanely beautiful girls who speak great english, even better than Thais, and they are very friendly people. I would definitely recommend visiting the Philippines before deciding to stay long term, and checking out most other places in the region first. I am tempted to try Costa Rica or Colombia soon myself after years in Thailand.

yes, but you can be exempt up to earnings of ~$85,000 a year if you are out of the country for more than 330 days approximately. If you renounce citizenship there is a large fee and you still have to pay taxes for many years

I think there is good value to be had from having a comfortable setup. I have some minor tension from using a computer mouse, rapidly clicking away during poker sessions and a lot of starcraft and FPS games. I am trying to use an xbox controller wherever possible, but its not that efficient at moving the mouse around, so I am wondering what others are using for an ergonomic mouse? I have tried the evoluent vertical mouse a long time ago, but found it clunky to move around. I currently have a logitech G700s and its not great, its quite tall and stressful for the hands. I am considering an Anker 2.4g mouse along side a Kensington Orbit trackball which I just ordered. Does anyone have a mouse they love? Anyone receive wrist strain/hand positioning relief from any alternatives? Thanks!

FWIW: I got a lot of value out of a Geekdesk, a standing/sitting desk. I think it was an amazing buy, it is probably similar to sauces treadmill desk without the treadmill. Similarly, I am using a high end mechanical keyboard, which was a big step up from the plastic logitech M series keyboard I was using previously, and I would recommend people ditch uncomfortable grinding accessories, its probably as taxing on the health as it is uncomfortable.

interested to know why? I liked having the visualization of the hands in ICMIZER, I am admittedly very new with HRC, but it seems more text-based and more difficult to import hands. Have you tried using it in (almost) real time, analyzing a spot after it comes up during a session or do you just use it for reviewing? Thanks!

Which is the best? I currently use ICMIZER and it has a nice interface, but it doesn't have some features I would like, such as quickly setting up some fictional scenarios, and it requires manual, tedious plugging in of all prize pools, I believe some other software programs automatically detect these. Anyone have a preference?

Post | czglory posted in PLO: Preflop starting hand video?

Hello, just wondering if there is any video that would help guide starting hand requirements, I am interested in transitioning from NLHE to PLO, but I am having a hard time finding these basic things like what a solid range for opening % from each position, etc would be. I am well aware there are so many variables preflop that a chart is not really a good idea,  but how is one to know if 44/30 is too loose or not for example?

sb player is over a small sample of 48 hands playing 71/54 with 47.4% 3bet. This was all 5-6 handed. copy/pasted HH from HM2 did not work, and it can't be edited, so included a weaktight link.
