Hi Ben! really confused about the AJ hand at min 12 - U say its stadard to cebhind the turn becasue we are never getting 2 streets with our top pair here - what?! Wilhasha Cbet 1/4 pot on the flop u should have a bunch of floats and ofcourse AJ has to go for 2 bets here ?!

Hey man nice video! dont really like ur give up with AQ on party at 10 min mark - I think this is a great bluff combo blocking AK, KQ, AA AND not having spades - if u bet turn MANDATORY river bluff imo ?

Sept. 8, 2018 | 12:13 p.m.

that KTo hand at min 34 was one of the most butchered hands ever caught on video. I hate the turn turn check into river fold

Hi Sam thanks for the vid, very interesting. I have to honestly say though that playing and commenting at the same time is not your strong suit - you keep getting off track and its hard to follow your thought process because you get easily distracted by getting dealt hands - and its only 3 tables :P Maybe do post commentary in next series?

One hand question: min 19 Ssick one vs cindy - I think ssick one should backraise river here after betting 3rd pot on river - just 3 flushes beat him and those raise his SB limp quite often and just call the flop cbet because of highcard value?

hi daniel !
nice vid but I disagree with your analysis of the QQ hand vs bounatirou. I don't think he will take this line with aq very often at all because I would argue that aq is strong enough to showdown and he obviously has weaker bluffs. So I do think it is very relevant to block the QJ nuts and blocking KQ is also relevant. so I don't think this is as clear a good as you make it out to be

had tears in my eyes when youn squeeze fold 9Ts from the bb. Pick literally any other hand?!?

Hi Sam,

kinda surprised nobody realized this but you neglected to press "include oop bet" on the flop in PIO in the first JJJ v Eisenhower hand. PIO would prob never say you should check a flop 100% of the time asthe PFR esp if you have a range advantage......

March 9, 2017 | 10:41 a.m.

Just cant see any strong hand checking behind flop AND turn...

agreed, no mention of these hands in regards to your range whatsoever ???

July 25, 2016 | 10:28 a.m.

I agree with this, was wondering why you never mentioned this. Would be interesting to see how calling ranges exploit such tendencies that basically all regs have...

June 22, 2016 | 10:06 a.m.

Hi nice vid but pretty basic. I expected ICM situations at FTs or bubbles which would be way more interesting, maybe next time...

June 20, 2016 | 10:58 p.m.

Nice Video!
In the end with KQo, you describe your logik to prefer to check back with TP with a flush draw but simple postflop disagrees. I had exactly the same thoughts as you and am wondering why Simple postflop disagrees? Do you think as an exploit/protection play the line you took is better than the simple postflop recommendation?

Hey Sam, interesting hand but lots of incoherent rambling. Kind of hard to follow. Maybe next time pause the video and organize your thoughts when you open a new game tree.

Hi,

just wondering what some players rationale is to play during this period of strike against ridiculous changes from Pokerstars. The 2 mentioned players are (I think) SNE themselves so I just cant quite comprehend why they take getting shit on by Pokerstars and then themselves shit on striking regs efforts who are trying to get at least some changes reversed. Obviously the more players actually strike the more effective it becomes for everybody. I feel like the players palying during strike are showing pokerstars how self serving, short.sighted and spineless some players can be which in turn means Amaya can just do whatever they want which will ruin all players chances of making money in future.

makes me sad....

definately want to hear your thoughts on bluffing me :(

Nov. 1, 2015 | 11:20 a.m.

Hi Hopez,

nice vid, question about the KQs hand min 23. You say you would prefer a smaller 3bet to induce more calls which I generelly agree with - but what do you do against a shove then? Now you are getting a worse price and he will have a tighter range so I guess fold? That would obviously be very painful so I would just call preflop

Oct. 21, 2015 | 11:38 a.m.

does it even make sense to review a proggressive superknockout without actually knowing what the bunties are???

July 26, 2015 | 4:10 p.m.

You do realize you can turn off the animation in the PS software and basically see your own cards 1 second sooner? Would tilt me hard....

July 2, 2015 | 12:14 a.m.

Hey,

great vid!

Table 3, 45o, min 29:

You ccall flop wihtout having a CR range and say you plan on folding the Q turn - so i guess you are folding this hand on the majority of turn cards? Isnt that a bit weak with a "hidden" nut draw? Wouldnt it be better to build a turn CR range with your flop slowpalys in order to be able to include this hand? That line would also keep your opponents from 2barreling dry flops with impunity.

June 8, 2015 | 2:35 p.m.

Hey Espen, cool vid! I would actually love to see some super knockout video coupled with some theory. Preferebly ofcourse from the thursday thrill. Seeing the upcoming scoop schedule with lots of super knockouts I think this would be very relevant content.

Thanks

Hi,

i would like to see some Progressive Super-Knockout tournament content. I dont think there is any on this site yet, and seeing many of these kind of tournaments coming up on the scoop schedule it would be great to see some theory content coupled with play.

Thanks

Hi Ben,

Great vid fun to see you battle these guys! Couple of questions / Suggestions:

  • I like these fast paced live vids, as suggested by others in this thread exploits of Higher stakes Players vs mid stakes regs would be interesting
  • I play against many of these Players regularly and as you noticed they May be overly concerned with balancing by ccalling super strong. Would be Great to see you investigate this Further by pointing out how much value is lost with these passive lines vs other Balanced opponents Who are not maniacs
  • You mentioned you would rather 4b call aqs bvb and defend aqo. I basically do the opposite and Favor defending aqs passively because it can defend way better on many flops. On the flipside aqo has less ev vs a 5b range. Do you feel like you need these couple of xtra % to make a 4b call profitable ? Is this a preference thing or is my Logic flawed?
