Dominated: I feel like this term is thrown around a bunch and it is not really defined- when you are Dominating someone's range what is an exact numerical representative description of this?

also

Linear and Polar for ranges would be a good thing to more strictly define

UH OH! a quadruple range merge in position fail?? Good thing u only lost $60...you will make good on this in the future.

I can see how I may be overestimating the value of this hand (69ss) against her raise in this position---Probably due to the fact that I am favoring how likely someone is to spew, over appropriately considering my raw equity vs their actual range, rather than in addition to. Shoot, leak!

I think this is a good demonstration of overshooting the transition out of not bluffing enough to bluffing in a balanced way..yuhp

I think I also was relying upon the image that I knew she had of me because she had spoken to me herself... In this big pot I think I gave her the mental advantage... in that she knew that I knew what she thought about me.

I then proceeded to fail the level
DEF should have folded pre.

thanks for thoughts

2 limpers to a straddle and Hero limps button with 69dd (1600 effective)

sb Villain (Has Hero covered (limit reg player dabbling in NLH ) makes it 45 to go

limpers fold Hero calls

Flop: 7h8hJd

Villain bets 55, Hero raises to 150, Villain then proceeds to 3bet to 355, Hero calls.

Turn is 4s. Villain bets 400, Hero folds :(

So this hand makes me curious because I am really trying to work on balancing my raising range here but am wondering if anyone thinks it could possibly work better on the turn?

I also KNOW that limping is -EV and just lame however anyone who plays live cash I think has an idea of the overabundant amount of limping that is happening and how this is going to effect pre flop ranges in really specific and chaotic ways. Furthermore I would love to hear criticism about why limping here is just really bad or not...anywhooos

Lets talk about it!

THANKS!!

Interesting STUFF! Did you ever have a discussion about this I am also super curious about the "D bet"...I think it is good to also factor when to use it when simply your range hits harder. What kinds of players may this be a good target for? etc...

It is so difficult to build a live poker bankroll that is somewhat sustaining life expenses. I know many live pros begin by getting backed, I hear it all the time, but how in the world do you find people to back you? I have 500 hours of live poker winning 5bb/hr. I want to get better and subscribe to coaching but cant afford it at this rate. Anyone have any tips on getting backed or at least starting the process?

Great starter video for getting in the mindset for making poker a profession. I have had this dream for about 5 years now and am just starting to have things click and work out, however, maybe this is live player problems but how in the heck does one get backed?!? I have a pt job that supplements my bankroll if needed but I also just would love to try it out as I am playing consistently and have a decent hourly (that I obviously want to improve on.) Maybe I am too shy or naïve, I'm not sure but I really want to figure it out!
