Just by following your advice my redline flatted right away. Im sure there's much more to tweak but my winrate instantly improved.

Try an experiment where IP you cbet less but follow through on many more turns. You will see how often they check/call flop and check/fold turn. Play 10,000 hands and see how it works for you.

So thanks a lot guys!

Feels much better!

Ty this makes sense. in this case he showed 8c7c. Just a bad board runout then :)

Obviously the Flop hits his calling range better than mine. But the smaller cbet IP should be fine right?

Ty! These are good points to adress and work on,

May 12, 2019 | 2:36 p.m.

stop spending time typing endlessly about beats/variance, and put more study/volume in - I might actually be ok here.

Do it and ill do the same ;) What actually helps me, if im in a (perceived) downswing ill switch from doing 60% play / 40% studying to the opposite.

May 12, 2019 | 12:33 a.m.

Would also fold J9s preflop. Even against 11% 3 Bet OOP overall your way behind. Also be aware that his OOP 3 Bet most likely is probably made up of mostly 3 bets against CO and BTN.

It might be on the weaker side but i also have no problem folden pre. SB 3bets OOP vs UTG. if i havent a good read i feel i will be dominated a lot, even worse if i only hit TP like in this case.

May 12, 2019 | 12:11 a.m.

i agree in most spots... i also at least consider folding preflop since a squeeze vs utg and caller seems pretty strong. 3barreling of SB is consistent with TT+, AQ, ATs, A8s... i dont think we need much of a bluffing range for river in a 3bet pot against this line.

if i ran a poker site i would be on my boat on the bahamas. why would any major site run the risk of getting cought by rigging ANYTHING? while they can just collect free money via rake?

Btw. i tried some of the tips in this post and my Redline is already flatting down a bit. i will post a new graph when i have about 10k+ hands with better BB defends, cbetting selectively OOP on flop ect...

Comment | joeeey commented on Redline Problem?

Btw, I think optimal redline under most circunstances will be losing no matter what you do

yes i think so to, im just aiming for a rather break-evenish redline, because especially in 6max its possible i guess.

yes its zoom.

how wide do you think i can get away with squeezing at NL10? around ~6%?

Comment | joeeey commented on Redline Problem?

My guess is this: you are c betting a ton (both IP and OOP), you get check/called on flop, You bet your really good stuff on turns but are checking/checking back way too often, you get to the river and face a stab and fold unless you have the goods.

Good stuff man! thats exactly what happens to me a lot ;/

Ty already guys for the great advice!

Im happy i posted this because its already showing big leaks even in the most basic stats :) im looking forward to fixing these things!

I will :)

Post | joeeey posted in NLHE: Redline Problem?

Hey guys, maybe its a little downswing but after 9k hands my redline is still going down rapidly.

Do you know about areas where i can look into to address this "problem", because i think
its cutting down my winrate significantly.

could this have todo with my high F3B% IP/OOP?
(what do you consider a good defending% here?)

Or are these rather postflop problem e.g. bad plays in 3bet pots or overfolding?

Here my graph and some stats Higher Resolution:

May 9, 2019 | 2:12 p.m.

Hand History | joeeey posted in NLHE: Straight 3way vs Turn shove
Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 (6 Players) BN: $18.05
SB: $11.55 (Hero)
BB: $10.36
UTG: $10.25
MP: $10.59
CO: $10.00
Preflop ($0.15) Hero is SB with 7 8
2 folds, CO raises to $0.25, BN calls $0.25, Hero calls $0.20, BB calls $0.15
squeeze better?
Flop ($1.00) 8 9 6
Hero checks, BB checks, CO bets $0.48, BN calls $0.48, Hero calls $0.48, BB folds
Turn ($2.44) 8 9 6 T
Hero bets $1.17, CO raises to $3.51, BN raises to $17.32 and is all in, Hero
Is this fold easier than i think? i need 35% Equity to call the shove.
Do i get this here against Sets, twopairs and here and then an overpair? Then we also have the other player behind us.... hm....

May 8, 2019 | 6:29 p.m.

any raises postflop in your lines?

May 8, 2019 | 1:46 p.m.

Hand History | joeeey posted in NLHE: Passive line with FD 3-handed?
Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 (6 Players) BN: $10.20
SB: $12.50 (Hero)
BB: $10.00
UTG: $6.18
MP: $8.78
CO: $30.88
both players seem to be fairly regular in stats around 20/25, dont 3bet much.
Preflop ($0.15) Hero is SB with 2 K
UTG raises to $0.20, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.15, BB calls $0.10
call is debatable i guess... who folds, who 3bets?
Flop ($0.60) T A J
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG bets $0.29, Hero calls $0.29, BB calls $0.29
raise better as semi-bluff with tons of equity? (nut FD + GS)
Turn ($1.47) T A J 5
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG bets $0.69, Hero calls $0.69, BB raises to $2.40, UTG calls $1.71, Hero calls $1.71
both calls are within the Potodds i think. i also give me a reasonable amount of implieds.
River ($8.67) T A J 5 7
Hero checks, BB bets $7.11 and is all in, UTG calls $3.29 and is all in, Hero folds

May 8, 2019 | 1:16 p.m.

ok thanks for the intel guys.

I'd strongly suggest to adapt that definion, it makes life easier for you. :)

yeah maybe im getting too involved in a concept.

but if i only look at BB defences for example, any action that over longterm gives me more than -100bb/100 is better than a fold right?

May 8, 2019 | 1:07 p.m.

Im just asking, sometimes a defend (call/3bet) preflop can be minus ev, but still better than a fold

Comment | joeeey commented on 4Betting a hand like QQ

I keep saying this and others (long time pros) write it on 2p2 every day: It "feels" like something is being controlled.

maybe the damn Illuminati... i knew it also...

May 8, 2019 | 12:54 a.m.

so basically from any position a fold is -1,5bb/6 = -0.25bb/100 :)

May 7, 2019 | 11:44 p.m.

May 7, 2019 | 11:41 p.m.

Just a basic question: The overall EV of a fold PREFLOP on 6max must be higher than -1.5bb/100 right?
rather about -2.5bb/100? anyone with a solid number?

May 7, 2019 | 3:13 p.m.

i think this is just a hard missplay on flop!

you are making villain a such easy choice with your shove:

fold - everything that you beatt
call - everything that beats you

its ez as that.

May 7, 2019 | 3:06 p.m.

But... Ohm.. Didnt you just shove your Stack against the better Hand on the flop? So rng isnt even the question

May 6, 2019 | 11:36 p.m.

I also like a check behind on this texture
