I really enjoy your posts and reading your thoughts!

I too get mad during sessions like you. Mine is so intense that I hit the table hard, scream, and throw mouse and eventually break it (it happened several times last year but zero in this year!) But the important point is getting angry doesn't necessarily mean I play bad. I've successfully climbed up to 200nlFR last month!(same as you but we play in different time)

Actually I have a question: Why do u think 6max is so different from 9max? How does it differ from 9max with first 3 people folded pre? If you are so good that you beat 200NL, I am curious what makes you think 6max is difficult in terms of skill.
In my case, it is clear I have serious leak in the CO so I avoid playing 6max most of the time.

Anyway nice to see you went through huge downswing and eventually marked career high result! Gl to you in September!

Thank you for your reply! I understood how to decide rooms to play.
It was interesting to hear WPN is relatively tough as I only knew stars is tough by far.
As you recommended, I will try out playing multi site :)

Hi! Thanks for great video series again. After watching your vids, I have made transition to MSS (mostly 40bb buy-in) and showing good profit!!

My question is not directly related to this video, but please let me ask: Why are you playing on PokerKing to play MSS? Is it because rake back, or traffic, or better buy-in obligation?

Thanks!

Thank you guys for the comments.

I might should have posted my database instead, but thought knowing desirable winrates gives me some reference to start out.

Gideon, glad to hear you started out!
Given std dev is around 35, (in my database) after palyng 10k hands, 95% confidence interval will be (your wanrate +-7bb). So if you are +4-+5bb/100 winning player, you are likely a winning player.

I love the variant and would like to learn to become a good player. Actually, as I expect to chop most of the time, this game is less stressful than other games (I admit there are people saying completely opposite of it!). But for me, taking 80%<20% is tougher than taking 65%=35% on regular basis.

I am playing 1/2 and not finding great success yet. Comparing to NLHE, there is very limited learning resources and putting opponent on range is really hard, I havent found good way to study about the game.
I would love to hear how you got better after initiation (like after first 10k or 20k hands).

Best of luck!

Thank u for very detailed explanation! I understood your duties here :) but still I got some important ideas.
My idea was also from the situation [77-JJ]vs[QQ-KK and bluffs] on [222] where OOP's range advantage is useless. The [A98A] situation looked similar to me but in [222] example 1.2xpot sized bet was allowed (as far as I remember).

In the 1st series introduction you showed your winrate which was surprisingly high. That made me thought transiting to only MSS strategy which simplifies our strategy as well. So definitely I am waiting to see more videos from you, thanks a lot!

Thanks I love your theory videos.

One question abt the situation BB vs BTN on [A98] flop then [A] on the turn:

We saw leading whole range makes more +EV if our Eff is 40bb. Is it the same if we are 100bb deep or more?

As you mentioned in the video, IP's CBetting range OTF is nicely polarized and most nuts are still only in IP's range OTT.
If our Eff stack is 100bb or deeper, my intuitive idea is that, with deeper stack, IP is able to attack OOP's merged leading range with polarized range and large raising raise. OOP is going to have hard time realizing equity advantage vs raise with this depth. On the contrast, if we are 40bb deep, IP has little room to punish OOP's leading range, so the strategy leading whole range is max-EV.

Is that idea correct? Or we are still able to lead and show good profit with deeper stack?

Sure, thank u anyway!

Thank you vm! I havnt noticed this feature. Talking about O8, it seems they are lacking groups such as "an ace with deuce(s)" etc. Can such things can be done only by filter options?

Let me ask one thing more, in 6max game what bb/100 in BB and SB should we expect if winning?
I want some benchmark to see if i am doing something wrong.

Post | okopon posted in Other: Positional bb/100 in FLO8

Hello everyone.
I would like to know what is good positional winrate for FLO8 (3 to 6 handed)

My current data shows after 3k hands (i admit sample is too small tho),
Pos Winrate VPIP
BB -10/100 55
SB -11/100 53
EP 13.5/100 19
MP -13/100 19
CO -3/100 24
BN 38.6/100 40
Overall 2.8bb/100

What is desirable winrate for every position for 6-max game?
It seems currently figure of BB is too good, so i expect it to drop sooner or later, but up to how much is ok?
I want to target 4-5bb/100 given the stakes i play.

My current VP/PFR is 40/19.

Thanks,

Great video, I love your mix game series.
I have trouble making best use of HH. You mentioned how to go through by grouping hands by each position to see which is profiting or not in the video.
Could you brief so that I can work on this game efficiently? Thanks.

Great video! With very few strongly math-oriented stud8 video available, I'd love to see coming next series.

BTW, 51c2=51*50/2=1275 right? In the video you calculated everything using 1225 instead of 1275. Im worried if that will change every figure in this video.

Hello, I am also a Japanse player and glad to see u posting this!

Actually I have exactly same problem as u.
Recently I started looking into top-shark's stats and compared them to find out which area I need to work on.
I use piosolver to find what GTO play is, and to try to undertand, particularly in spots I found I should improve.

Actually I want to talk with you, maybe on Skype? I'll ping u a message!
