so generally if you were BB, do you sqz here 99 and cbet it in a 3way with a fish in a spot?

May 7, 2020 | 4:02 p.m.

Are you sure that most population is overbluffing sqz pot oop 4way?
Honestly I am not really fan of this hand. If he bets OTF I think he might do the same on the turn, where probably I do not like seeing like a half of the deck

hey,
what do you think? After rough analysis my comments:
PF: Call PF might be better. What range do you suggest to sqz in this spot?
F: On this kind of board I guess I have max ~35% FEq? His range is probably all suited aces, 22-JJ, SC, some broadways. I think he low PP + some broadways. Probably ~50combos
T: nice equity boost, but Id rather play x/s or x/c. Why not betting? He's never folding, if he goes all in I'm probably way behind. If he calls I do not have any feq on the river to shove with busted draw.

What do you think guys? thanks :)

April 21, 2020 | 7:25 a.m.

why you want to xr turn?

July 6, 2017 | 7:39 a.m.

I also like calling if you bet there. I guess he can shove there hands like JTs or T9s hoping to fold your TP hands, so in that scenario you have equity call.

I also thought that probably c/c is better, but I dont really want to c/c OESD here because of sising. Im sure he will also bet with this sizing on blank turn :/

Im not going to fold anything better OTF, im just getting value and to be honest, hoping to get spazzy x/r.

Comment | Tomasz K commented on JJ 3bet pot multiway

The biggest problem is, that you probably never see a check on the turn. I just can't imaging range which play in this way, so it means that calling flop and folding turn is probably quite unprofitable option

May 15, 2017 | 7:10 a.m.

imo generally xb makes sense, but honestly if you want to get his whole stack you need to be already OTF. Line like xb/raise and similar ones, generates too much FEq imo.
Even tough you block his top pair hands you are usually still getting 2 streets value from his weaker pairs + gs etc.
So I'd just bet and thats all :)

April 18, 2017 | 12:18 p.m.

Why you want to bet 1/3 OTF against a fish? With that hand I would personally just xc otf, mostly because of blockers.

April 8, 2017 | 12:02 p.m.

that's true that this board hits our range awesome, but I thought that it means that I am able to float more hands :) maybe I was wrong

If he bets river I would definitely fold. I dont expect to turn AK into a bluff there, not with enough frequency.

hey,
My strategy with nutty hands here is mixed between donkbetting and x/r, it's kind of good option imo, but it means that I dont have so many nuts in x/r range -> so many bluffs.
Anyway, I dont like x/r with this hand, even if you x/r all your nuts OTF (dont have DB range) I still think that it's way too wide. I'd rather choose some hands with BD FD f.e. hand with high spade + GS or GS + heart BDFD etc. imo you can find enough this type of hands and you dont have to x/r this board with pure gs. Look at villains play as well, he looks quite strong cbetting on this texture vs 2guys.

April 6, 2017 | 6:11 a.m.

hey,
Since we are not playing vs fish I dont like barreling turn.
I think most of regs PF calling range is a range which is too good to fold PF and too bad to 3b for value, so it means high SC, middle pp and some weaker broadways. OFC it depends on villain, but generally that's the idea imo. So looking at that, we dont have enough feq to barrel profitable this hand, furthemore we are at risk of x/r.

What do you think about unknowns SB PF calling range?

Comment | Tomasz K commented on QJs nl50z

yeah, you are right guys, it probably should be check turn. last days I'm beeing bluffcathed allthetime by 3rd pairs or other weak hands, so I was a little bit tilted playing this hand.
Anyway, thanks for help!

LOL
ofc I read it, but I'd just asked you a question why you choosed 1/3p sizing. What's strange in that? I thought you are thinking during game, not just clicking random buttons, and than asking for a help ;)
First of all I dont think this is dry board (I see there fd, bdfd, oesd, gs) and it's really dynamic for me, but yeah, I might be wrong.
2nd, I'm not quite sure if you have range advantage here. Maybe you have some more nut combos, but not so many - your opponents can have all of sets - you probably can't, and imo he has more 7x in his range than you.
I'd never choose 1/3p on this texture, but I'm pretty new in this concept.

March 24, 2017 | 8:49 a.m.

why did you choose 1/3p on this texture? Just because you have air, or there was any other reason?

Interesting hand. If you are folding this hand you are probably calling only 2 pairs? It looks weak, but I guess folding on river without any specific info sounds reasonable.
Anyway, maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that we should just x/c all of our nut hands OTF and OTT to have a X/C range OTR?

March 23, 2017 | 12:16 p.m.

Yep, ppl dont bluff enough on this texture, or maybe just dont bluff too much.
Anyway, it's still fold imo, due to his calling range which is 18%, he probably has all of his QJo combos and maybe he xb his A3/A8 hands OTF or OTT.
