Lets say we a tournament of 100 players, no rake but let's say that tourney pays 10 places. If they play a really big sample like 100k of these tournaments. Wouldn't in the end only the best 10 players make some money?

(And if im wrong how to calculate where i should be in the field to be at least break even in the long run?)
