Facing a river check raise with trips.

CO: 34,108
BN: 44,747 (Hero)
SB: 27,863
BB: 28,005
UTG: 13,432

Flop (2,900) J A 6
CO checks, Hero checks
Turn (2,900) J A 6 J
CO checks, Hero bets 1,200, CO calls 1,200
River (5,300) J A 6 J T
CO checks, Hero bets 3,200, CO raises to 31,858 and is all in, Hero folds
Final Pot CO wins 11,700

In this hand the preflop raiser being OOP took a long time before acting, then decided to check to me. I thought that he didn't have anything and checked back because there are really a lot of scary turns. He checks again and now when I turn trips I have to start building a pot so I bet. He calls and I am honestly kind of confused. He checks the river and I think that checking back strong trips is too nitty so I bet. The bet was probably a bit too big looking back because he should not have a very strong hand. Then he shoves and now the only hand I can put him on is aces full of jacks. Maybe KQ but this would have been a really weird line for that hand. Is this an easy fold or could he be bluffing somehow?

Villain: VPIP 19/ PFR 9/ 3b 8 hands: 30

Thank you!
