NL25 backdoored nut flush on paired board

Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 (6 Players) BB: $17.65
UTG: $25.35
MP: $65.45
CO: $55.48 (Hero)
BN: $55.17
SB: $25.00
Preflop ($0.35) Hero is CO with K Q
UTG raises to $0.75, MP folds, Hero calls $0.75, 3 folds
Flop ($1.85) 8 Q A
UTG bets $1.32, Hero calls $1.32
Turn ($4.49) 8 Q A 5
UTG bets $3.20, Hero calls $3.20
River ($10.89) 8 Q A 5 8
UTG bets $7.40, Hero calls $7.40
I think I should have shoved here and felt bad afterwards. Villain can only have 1 88, 1 QQ and 2 A8s. AA would often play a x/c line. I didn't expect a reg to bet/call his big aces OTR at the time but now I think I probably lost value.
Final Pot UTG lost and shows two pairs, Aces and Eights.
CO wins and shows a flush, Ace high.
CO wins $24.41
Rake is $1.28
