Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is MP1 with 8d 8h
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.75, MP2 calls $0.75, 4 folds

Flop: ($1.85) 2h 3s 9s (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $1.25, Hero calls $1.25

Turn: ($4.35) 5c (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $3.48, Hero folds

I decided not to cbet for pot control and I don't want to see a raise OTF. However, I do think I maybe look too weak though the eyes of the reg villain making him bluff a lot. Is it better to cbet the flop and if so, why? I folded the turn, because his betting size didn't look like he was going to stop any time soon and I would have to play a big pot with a marginal hand.
