Bet bet x/c seems legit to me here

Feb. 2, 2018 | 4 a.m.

I would bet bigger otr

Jan. 29, 2018 | 3:41 p.m.

Assuming he never value something less than trips, we just beat pure bluffs, even if we got the odds I don't think we are ever winning vs general population

Jan. 29, 2018 | 3:40 p.m.

I like checking OTT, as Bingo says, hardly to had 2 street of value. I would bet 38-40$ otr.

Dec. 6, 2017 | 3:55 p.m.

Call turn/fold river seems good to me.

Dec. 2, 2017 | 9:41 p.m.

His line is pretty set heavy, but we are at the top of our range, I would call and call otr, if he has one of the 6 combos of set good for him.

Dec. 2, 2017 | 9:39 p.m.

Cbet larger on the flop, his range hits so hard with that flop that we have to extract as many value as possible.
When he raise, considering that there are at least 10 cards that are bad for your hand, I would push

Dec. 2, 2017 | 9:37 p.m.

I'm not even doing the maths but I would definitely call vs aggro fish

I ended up calling and he had 66, anyway I think he can make this with AJ for value sometimes so im fine with it

Often in low stakes we're faced with a "difficult" spot like this and curse our luck, say something like "I'm too high up in my range to fold" then donate the rest of a buy in to the nut peddler we're playing against.
Truth is people aren't aggressive enough, thats never more true than otr. Yes it sucks emotionally folding, but it will be both the more +ev line in the long run v this pool - AND build all important discipline for the future. It isn't sexy and so doesn't get much coverage but being able to fold "good" hands is a pretty significant part of your edge at these stakes.

I completely agree with this.

The same thing I do after a winning session, something away from poker

I'm stabing for value, at this stakes people will have Jx worst, 77-TT.
I think SB XR mostly value and his sizing it's like a plis call me most of the time

I like the overbet turn cause when Hero calls his range is Jx heavy, and he can value bigger than if he bets, let's say 80% OTT.
And as a bluff he can be doing this with 9Ts and will work out a lot too.

Nov. 17, 2017 | 2:16 p.m.

We beat K6/K2 and bluffs, we lose vs sets, the Ax don't change that much since I don't think he is check raising and barreling A6. I would call here.

Nov. 16, 2017 | 4:14 p.m.

Pretty sexy line from villain to be honest, I would start checking this flop on 3way pot, and I would fold OTR if he is a nit, and bite my hand to make it less painful (?)

Nov. 16, 2017 | 3:47 p.m.

His 4bet sizing is stupid and seems fishy, but I wouldn't 5bet, I would just call and then x/c on that runout

Nov. 16, 2017 | 3:44 p.m.

Cameron couch and Ian Salter are my favourites

Nov. 16, 2017 | 3:42 p.m.

Yeeeh this is a set very often but meh you have equity and sometimes he could have 67hh or two pair so its fine i guess

Comment | NickHalden commented on Hard river decision

I would fold preflop to be honest, KJo don't play that well OOP, you could make a case by 3betting maybe but I would just fold.

As played, I would also fold, people just don't bluff enough at this spot at this stakes, I respect villain for taking the shot (was he bluffing or just clicking buttons??), but I don't think the tendencies of the pool justify this call at all.

Nov. 16, 2017 | 3:37 p.m.

You have position and probably the better hand 95% of the time, so I would call and let him give me the money with random bluffs or worst hands

Nov. 16, 2017 | 3:28 p.m.

I would fold OTR, a passive player, in general, wouldn't take a line like raising flop, barreling turn and bluffing river with AhX, I think they would just call flop and hope to hit their flush OTT, his line seems very value heavy as QJ or flush, I don't even know if they are taking this line with 99/88, so folding kinda sucks but seems a correct adaptation to a passive player.

Nov. 16, 2017 | 3:27 p.m.

I think hero should work on his preflop ranges as soon as possible.

Oct. 6, 2017 | 3:12 a.m.

I prefer raising, we have a ton of equity and we put the fold equity on our favour also.

Oct. 4, 2017 | 10:53 p.m.

Well you can start folding pre for instance.
As played, I would bet bigger OTT, villain had "reg" stats but no full stack so I would tag him as fishy and I would want to extract as many value as possible from AQ, KQ, QJ (?) who knows.
I'm never folding OTR, if he has it good for him.

Oct. 4, 2017 | 10:51 p.m.

I would just give up, K high have some showdown value :/ and start value betting any pair

Sept. 16, 2017 | 3:44 p.m.

At this stakes I would call. They can easily shove worst Ax here
