I'm looking to get my hold 'em game back up to a decent level. I haven't played any hold 'em cash or tournaments for almost 5 years.

A lot has changed obviously and I have never worked with all the hold 'em tools except ppt. Should I dive immediately into piosolver or some of the other tools? Not sure what my best approach should be. There aren't many transitioning from plo to hold 'em vids :). So which ones would be most usefull?

Hey Tom good video. I knew most of it but you helped clear some things up with the syntax.

I am a bit lazy but also confused on how to best construct opening/calling ranges. For instance when you use 28% opening range on the CO it doesn't represent the actual range. I saw in omaharanger they have premade "real ranges" but I would like to stick to ppt.

Maybe we can make a thread constructing some standard opening ranges for 10-70% and some flatting ranges 10-50%. I wanted to do this for a while but I'm unsure about my range constructing within ppt so it would be great if we can doublecheck each other with a couple of members.

If people are interested I'll start a thread by constructing some UTG ranges 12-14-16-18-20%. Maybe get a discussion going on what to put in or take out when going up and down this range. afterwards we can sticky this and all you have to do is copy paste it into your ppt.

16:00 on table 2 vs imper1um. After he shows his AAxx you say it would be better to pot/call at first but it seems like your talking about pre and then say you would like to see yourself pot/fold there because he shouldn't have a pot/fold range there. I would never consider bet/folding any size here with AAxx especially not pot/folding.

Did you misspoke there or am I missing something if so could please elaborate on this further :).

Liked the video a lot. With 9 tables there is just a lot of hands you don't necessarily have to get into but is information for us viewers. For instance what hands you consider not playing or defending.I'm a fairly tight player and have a hard time finding more hands to open or defend that are profitable for me these vids help me a lot in finding the differences in my tight game vs a somewhat looser game.@Erik: it's not that the JT is huge in AJT2 but a 7% range consists of a lot of KKxx combo's lowering your equity with AKxx vs his range. That said intuitively AJT has a lot more straight combo's than AKJ? Anyone has some math on that how this changes your value vs ranges. We know how much our equity increases with having suits. Maybe there is magic number for the combo's of straights?
